Quick Summary

Today, November 1, is the deadline to play both FC 27 and FC 26 and become an FC 27 Club Member, unlocking a free Hall of FUT David Luiz Evolution. Here's how to qualify, what the three upgrade pathways do, and the other rewards that come with Club Member status.

Today is the last day to lock in one of EA Sports FC 27's free Ultimate Team rewards. EA's official FC 27 news page confirms that anyone who plays both FC 27 and FC 26 by November 1, 2026 becomes an FC 27 Club Member, unlocking a free Hall of FUT Evolution built around David Luiz. Here's exactly what the program requires, what the Evolution does, and how the three upgrade pathways work.

If you already own both games, the fix is simple: load into FC 27 and FC 26 today. EA's post does not list an exact cut-off time, so the safest move is to launch both games well before midnight in your local time zone rather than wait until the last minute.

1. What Is the FC 27 Club Member Program?

Club Member is an account-wide reward tier EA introduced for FC 27's opening months. According to EA's official announcement, the requirement is straightforward: "Play FC 27 and FC 26 by November 1, 2026 to become a FC 27 Club Member." EA notes that conditions and restrictions apply and points players to its official game disclaimers page for the fine print, but the core ask — boot up both titles before the date passes — is confirmed directly by the publisher.

EA also says more Club Member rewards are planned as FC 27 moves toward the new year, so today's deadline is framed as the first of several milestones rather than a one-off offer.

2. The Hall of FUT: David Luiz Evolution Explained

Once you qualify as a Club Member, EA is granting a free Evolution item called the Hall of FUT – David Luiz Pathway Evolution, built around the Brazilian defender's career. EA describes it as becoming available starting November 1 and completable "at your own pace," so there's no rush to finish it the moment you unlock it — only to become eligible for it. You'll find it waiting in the Rewards section of the Evolution menu inside Ultimate Team.

As with any Evolution, the process starts with choosing an eligible Player Item to apply it to. EA's post doesn't publish the exact attribute caps for the upgrade, but it does confirm the Evolution is tied to specific stat categories and a PlayStyle depending on which of three pathways you pick — more on those below.

3. The Three Pathways: Finisher, Champion, National Hero

EA's announcement lays out three distinct directions for the David Luiz Evolution, each referencing a different chapter of his career:

  • The Finisher — a set-piece-focused path that upgrades Shooting, FK Accuracy, Shot Power and Long Shots, and grants the Dead Ball PlayStyle. EA ties this directly to Luiz's free-kick goal for Brazil against Colombia at the 2014 World Cup.
  • The Champion — a defensive path that upgrades Defending, Physical, Passing and Penalties, and grants a Defensive PlayStyle. EA references his performance in the 2012 UEFA Champions League Final with Chelsea.
  • A National Hero — a ball-playing path that upgrades Pace, Physical, Passing and Aggression, and grants a Build-Up PlayStyle, reflecting his spell at CR Flamengo.

EA's guidance is to use the Evolution Chain Preview before committing, which shows what further Evolutions a card could qualify for down the line once this one is applied — useful if you're planning to keep developing the same item through later programs rather than treating this as a one-off upgrade.

4. Rules While the Evolution Is in Progress

EA's post lists a few restrictions that apply once you've submitted a card:

  • The item becomes untradeable for as long as the Evolution is applied to it.
  • You can't discard the item, and you can't use it in Squad Building Challenges while the Evolution is in progress.
  • You can change which pathway you're following at any time before you actually claim a level, including in the moment you go to claim it — so you aren't locked into Finisher, Champion or National Hero until you confirm.

Because the upgrades are capped at set maximum values rather than being a flat bonus, EA's own advice is to pay attention to the base attributes of the card you choose before you start — a higher floor on, say, Defending or Pace going in will matter more than usual once the Evolution's caps are applied.

5. Other Club Member Rewards

EA frames the David Luiz Evolution as an addition to a set of rewards that already come with Club Member status rather than a replacement for them. Per the official post, Club Members also get:

  • Red Bull-branded kits and crests usable in Football Ultimate Team.
  • An AXP multiplier in The Grounds, FC 27's open-world hub. EA notes The Grounds — including its Clubs component — is only available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2, so last-gen console players won't see this particular perk.
  • Gareth Bale as a playable addition in both Manager Career and Player Career.

6. How This Differs From FC 27's Other Club Membership Perks

This isn't the only Club Membership milestone FC 27 has offered — an earlier wave tied to carrying over loyalty from FC 26 covered tiered rewards and its own deadline (covered in our full breakdown of Club Membership rewards and tiers). Today's David Luiz Evolution is a separate, Hall of FUT-specific reward layered on top of that program, confirmed directly in EA's October 28 news post rather than datamined or leaked. If you're also curious how PlayStyles like the ones granted by this Evolution function in matches, our guide to every PlayStyle and PlayStyle+ in FC 27 covers the full list.

The Hall of FUT concept itself debuted with FC 27's launch update, alongside changes to the FUT Gallery and Ultimate Team chemistry — see our explainer on the FUT Gallery, Hall of FUT and chemistry changes for how that system works overall. And if career-mode rewards like the Gareth Bale addition interest you more than Ultimate Team, our Career Mode guide covering Manager Live, Creator Challenges and new ICONs is a good next stop.

Quick Tips Recap

  • Boot up both FC 27 and FC 26 today, well before midnight local time, to lock in Club Member status — EA hasn't published an exact cut-off time.
  • The free David Luiz Hall of FUT Evolution unlocks starting November 1 and can be completed at your own pace afterward.
  • Pick a card with strong base attributes in the category you want to boost before applying the Evolution, since upgrades are capped, not flat.
  • You can switch between the Finisher, Champion and National Hero pathways right up until you claim a level.
  • Once applied, the card is untradeable and can't be discarded or used in SBCs until you're done.
  • Don't forget the non-Evolution perks: Red Bull kits/crests, a Grounds AXP multiplier (current-gen and PC only), and Gareth Bale in Career Mode.
