Quick Summary

EA Sports FC 27's Club Member program now includes a free David Luiz-Inspired Evolution, available to anyone who plays both FC 27 and FC 26 before the November 1, 2026 deadline. Here's how to qualify, every reward on offer, and how the three Evolution pathways work.

EA Sports FC 27 players have until November 1, 2026 to lock in one of the game's best-value rewards of the season: free FC 27 Club Member status, which now includes a brand-new David Luiz-Inspired Evolution. The reward was announced on EA's official FC 27 news page on October 28, alongside the game's v1.1.0 Title Update, and it's open to anyone who plays both FC 27 and FC 26 before the deadline — no purchase required.

Here's exactly what Club Member status unlocks, how to qualify in time, and how the three David Luiz Evolution pathways work.

1. What Is the FC 27 Club Member Program?

Club Member is EA's ongoing loyalty program for players who stay active across both the current and previous FC titles. It's separate from paid subscriptions like EA Play — qualifying is based purely on play activity, not spending. Members get access to cosmetic items, a progression boost in one mode, and a free Evolution for use on Ultimate Team squads.

The program already existed before this announcement; what's new on October 28 is this month's featured reward: the David Luiz Evolution, added to the Club Member benefits alongside the existing perks.

2. How to Qualify Before the November 1 Deadline

According to EA's announcement, the requirement is straightforward: play both EA Sports FC 27 and EA Sports FC 26 by November 1, 2026 to become an FC 27 Club Member. EA notes that conditions and restrictions apply, with full terms listed on the game's official disclaimers page, so players close to the cutoff should log into both titles well before the deadline rather than waiting until the last day.

Fans who have already been splitting time between FC 26 and FC 27 — for example, to clear last season's loyalty rewards before they expired — should already meet the requirement without doing anything extra.

3. Every Club Member Reward, From Kits to Gareth Bale

Per EA's October 28 post, qualifying FC 27 Club Members receive:

  • Red Bull-branded kits and crests in Football Ultimate Team.
  • An AXP multiplier in The Grounds, EA's open-world street football hub (conditions apply; The Grounds is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2).
  • Gareth Bale, usable in Manager Career and Player Career.
  • The new David Luiz Pathway Evolution, unlocking November 1 for members, which they can complete at their own pace.

The AXP multiplier is useful if you're working toward a specific archetype build in The Grounds, since AXP is what levels up your created pro there. Gareth Bale, meanwhile, slots into Career Mode rather than Ultimate Team — a useful free squad piece if you're managing or playing as a club that needs pace and set-piece delivery out wide.

4. The New David Luiz Evolution, Explained

The headline reward is the David Luiz Pathway Evolution, found in the Rewards section of the Evolution menu inside Ultimate Team. Evolutions let you permanently upgrade a chosen Player Item's attributes and add a PlayStyle by completing in-game objectives — and this one is themed around three different chapters of David Luiz's career.

You start by choosing an eligible Player Item to apply the Evolution to, then pick one of three pathways. Each pathway references a specific moment from Luiz's career and rewards a different kind of player.

Choosing a Pathway: The Finisher, The Champion or A National Hero

  • The Finisher — Built around set-piece threat. Upgrades Shooting, Free Kick Accuracy, Shot Power and Long Shots, and grants the Dead Ball PlayStyle. EA ties this path to Luiz's free-kick winner for Brazil against Colombia at the 2014 World Cup, a 2-1 victory.
  • The Champion — A composed, all-around centre-back build. Upgrades Defending, Physical, Passing and Penalties up to set caps, and grants a Defensive PlayStyle. This references Chelsea's 2012 UEFA Champions League Final win over Bayern Munich, decided on penalties.
  • A National Hero — Built for aggressive, ball-playing defenders. Upgrades Pace, Physical, Passing and Aggression, and grants a build-up PlayStyle. EA links this to Luiz's Flamengo career, including the 2022 Copa Libertadores final.

EA hasn't published exact attribute caps or point values for any of the three paths — only that each stat is upgraded "up to various caps," so the final numbers depend on the base card you apply the Evolution to.

Rules While an Evolution Is in Progress

A few restrictions apply for as long as an item sits inside an active Evolution:

  • The item becomes untradable for the duration.
  • You cannot discard it or use it in Squad Building Challenges while it's evolving.
  • You can switch pathways at any point before claiming a level — including right up to the moment you claim it — so an early choice isn't locked in permanently.

5. Tips for Getting the Most Out of the David Luiz Evolution

EA's own guidance, plus how Evolutions have worked in past Ultimate Team cycles, points to a few practical tips:

  • Pick your path based on your squad need, not just the flashiest option — a set-piece specialist (The Finisher) suits a different squad than a stay-at-home defender (The Champion).
  • Use the Evolution Chain Preview before committing. It shows how the item can continue to evolve further down the line, which matters if EA extends this Evolution with later levels.
  • Check the caps against your base card's attributes first. Because upgrades are capped rather than flat bonuses, a higher-rated base item won't always gain as much as a lower-rated one that's further from the cap.
  • Don't rush the pathway choice — since you can swap freely until the moment you claim a level, it's safe to wait and see how your squad composition shapes up before locking anything in.

Because the item is untradable and SBC-locked while evolving, it's worth applying the Evolution to a card you're confident you'll actually play, not a spare pulled from the streamlined SBC and pack-opening changes EA shipped earlier this season.

6. Where This Fits Alongside the v1.1.0 Title Update

The Club Member announcement landed the day after EA shipped Title Update v1.1.0's full patch notes, which added two new Player Career Rivalry objective types, Team Management UI changes, and dozens of Ultimate Team and Grounds fixes — though no gameplay balance changes. The two releases are separate: the Title Update is a general patch for everyone, while the Club Member David Luiz Evolution is a loyalty reward tied specifically to the November 1 cross-play deadline.

Quick Tips Recap

  • Play both FC 27 and FC 26 before November 1, 2026 to qualify for Club Member status.
  • Rewards include Red Bull FUT kits, an AXP multiplier in The Grounds, Gareth Bale for Career Mode, and the new David Luiz Evolution.
  • The David Luiz Evolution offers three pathways — The Finisher, The Champion and A National Hero — each with a different stat focus and PlayStyle.
  • You can freely switch pathways until you claim a level, but the host item is untradable and SBC-locked while evolving.
  • Check EA's official disclaimers page for the full conditions and restrictions before the deadline.
