Quick Summary

EA Sports FC 27's Title Update v1.1.0 is live on every platform as of October 27, 2026, bringing a Career Mode Team Management overhaul, new Press Conference and Unexpected Events toggles, shorter FUT pack openings, and roughly 150 fixes across Career, Ultimate Team and The Grounds.

EA Sports FC 27's Title Update v1.1.0 rolled out on October 27, 2026 across every platform the game is available on, and it is a big one: roughly 150 individual fixes spread across Career Mode, Football Ultimate Team and The Grounds, plus a handful of changes players have been asking for since launch. The developers published a full "Pitch Notes" breakdown a day earlier, on October 26, explaining the thinking behind the headline changes. Here is everything that actually changed, drawn directly from EA's own patch notes and developer commentary.

1. Release Details: What Title Update v1.1.0 Is and Where to Get It

Title Update v1.1.0 is available now on EA app for Windows, Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Store, PlayStation Store and the Nintendo Switch 2 Store. EA has been explicit that this update contains no gameplay balance or tuning changes — it is a bug-fix and quality-of-life patch. The studio says balance changes are still being worked on using player data, community feedback and input from its Design Council, and will land in a future update once they're ready.

Some fixes are platform-specific: a handful target PC only, a couple are PS5-exclusive, and others apply only to PS4 and Xbox One. The Grounds, including Clubs, continues to be limited to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 — it has not come to PS4, Xbox One or the original Switch.

2. The Big Picture: Career, FUT and The Grounds All Get Attention

EA's Pitch Notes article groups v1.1.0 into three pillars: a Career Mode UI overhaul with new settings, Ultimate Team pack-opening and SBC tweaks, and a long list of stability and bug fixes for The Grounds. The developers say the notes are a direct response to feedback gathered from Discord, the in-game Feedback Portal, EA Forums, Steam reviews and social media since launch on September 25.

If you're catching up on EA's post-launch support generally, this update follows the earlier Title Update 1.0.1 patch notes, which focused mostly on day-one stability. v1.1.0 is the first update to make structural changes rather than just squashing crashes.

3. Career Mode: A Redesigned Team Management Screen

The headline Career change is a visual overhaul of the Team Management screen. EA says it has "overhauled the Team Management layout across multiple modes for cleaner navigation and better readability," touching the Squad, Tactics and Assignments tabs alike.

New Player Career Rivalry Objectives

Player Career gets two new Rivalry objective types:

  • Consistency Rivalries — track your performance against a rival and avoid being the first of the two of you to fail an objective.
  • Match Limit Rivalries — complete a set of objectives within a fixed number of matches.

Manager Career: Transfers and Negotiations

EA has reworked several pieces of the negotiation logic in Manager Career:

  • Rejection responses now explain why a club or player turned down an offer, instead of a generic decline.
  • Wage demands now properly account for performance bonuses, so a player's base wage ask is no longer inflated just because bonuses are on the table.
  • Veteran players are less likely to unrealistically demand a key starting role as a condition of signing.

There's also a general Career cleanup: better colour contrast for green/grey/red stat values in the Player Profile, PlayStyles are now shown for Youth Academy prospects found through Scouting Missions, Scout capacity is now based on a scout's Experience rather than Judgement, and promoting a prospect from the Youth Squad Hub no longer kicks you back to the top of the menu. Readers who want the full breakdown of ICONs, Creator Challenges and Manager Live can check our separate guide to FC 27's Career Mode features, which this update builds on rather than replaces.

EA does flag one known issue it hasn't fixed yet: players can still request a transfer over playtime even when their stated playtime expectations are technically being met. A fix is in testing for a future update.

4. New Settings: Toggle Off Press Conferences and Unexpected Events

Two long-requested options are now available both when starting a new Career and inside existing saves: you can turn Press Conferences on or off entirely, or adjust how often they appear, and do the same for Unexpected Events.

Both settings live under Game Settings > General Setting. Switching Press Conferences off disables them across every season of that save, which matters since this has been one of the most common complaints in Manager Career feedback since launch — previously there was no way to reduce how often they interrupted a save.

5. Football Ultimate Team: Faster Packs and Smarter SBC Filters

FUT gets two headline changes in v1.1.0. First, pack-opening reveal animations have been shortened for most higher-rated items — a direct response to Closed Beta feedback that packs took too long to get through. Second, SBC filters and sorting now persist across an entire play session; previously they reset every time you backed out of a Squad Building Challenge, which made working through a long list of SBCs tedious.

Beyond those two headline items, EA lists roughly 40 additional FUT fixes covering SBCs, Evolutions, visual and cosmetic display issues, menu navigation, the FUT Gallery, notifications, Transfer Market search and tactics. A few specific fixes called out by name: referee kit colours no longer clash with team kits, pitch line colour no longer defaults to the opposing team's colour when you haven't picked one, and custom goal net colours no longer get overridden by an opponent's setting. For background on the FUT Gallery and Hall of FUT systems these fixes touch, see our guide to FC 27's FUT Gallery and chemistry changes.

6. The Grounds: Around 45 Fixes for Stability, Clubs and Kickabouts

The Grounds — FC 27's social hub mode — gets the largest single batch of fixes in this update, covering matchmaking and party issues, Live Events, Clubs, the Store and FC Hub, the Street Football, Bucket Ball and Bocce Ball minigames, 1v1 and 3v3 match behaviour, audio and PC controls. Named fixes include:

  • The Pro Camera sometimes rotated incorrectly when the ball rolled past the byline.
  • End-of-match UI could overlap on-screen text after a Kickabout.
  • Match ratings below 6.0 weren't displaying at all.
  • The "Player has left the activity" overlay has been made less intrusive.
  • Teams could occasionally end up with two active goalkeepers during a Clubs Live Event.
  • Party members could get stuck with a broken HUD if their party leader left matchmaking.
  • Players couldn't re-enter the Objectives tab after viewing it from the Live Events lobby.
  • Match ratings incorrectly showed as 0 when a player's Archetype was already at max level.
  • The Clubs bracket sometimes displayed a semi-final winner before the match had actually concluded.

EA also says it resolved unspecified stability issues and crashes tied to the Store, world loading and general gameplay in The Grounds. The developers were explicit that this update is about immediate fixes rather than new content: bigger features for The Grounds and Clubs are planned for a future update, with details promised via the official @EASFCDIRECT account and Discord closer to release. For a primer on how the mode's Archetypes and Kickabouts work today, our guide to The Grounds' Clubs and Archetype system covers the basics.

7. Gameplay Bug Fixes

On the core gameplay side, v1.1.0 is fixes-only, with no tuning changes. EA lists five specific issues resolved:

  • A tutorial softlock that could permanently trap players partway through.
  • In 2v2, players could get stuck inside the goal net after a slide tackle near the goal line.
  • In 1v1, goalkeepers were holding the ball too long after a pass was requested.
  • In 3v3 Kickabouts, a long button-press pass could accidentally send the ball into your own goal.
  • Post-play cutscenes were triggering too often in situations where a standard replay should have played instead.

There were also PC-specific fixes, including a goalkeeper mouse-control freeze, and PS5-specific and PS4/Xbox One-specific items that EA didn't detail beyond platform tagging.

8. Quick Tips Recap

  • v1.1.0 is live now (October 27, 2026) on all platforms FC 27 supports — no separate download is needed beyond the normal platform update.
  • There are no balance or tuning changes in this patch; it's bug fixes and UI/quality-of-life work only.
  • If Press Conferences or Unexpected Events have been bothering your Manager Career save, head to Game Settings > General Setting to turn them off or lower their frequency — it works retroactively on existing saves.
  • FUT players should notice shorter pack-opening animations immediately, and SBC filters now stay set for the whole session instead of resetting every time.
  • The Grounds received the largest batch of fixes this round, but EA says bigger feature additions for The Grounds and Clubs are still to come in a future update.
