Respawn and EA confirmed on November 5, 2026 that Apex Legends is crossing over with Toho's Godzilla Minus Zero, turning Storm Point into a kaiju disaster zone for three weeks. 1. When the Godzilla Event Starts and Ends
The Apex Legends | Godzilla Event runs from November 10 to December 1, 2026, on every platform Apex supports: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through the EA app, Epic Games Store and Steam. Apex Legends remains free to play, and the event is layered on top of the ongoing Season 31: Cipher content that launched on November 3.
EA says the event is timed to celebrate the theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero, the Takashi Yamazaki-directed film that opened in North American theaters on November 6, 2026 — one day after EA's Apex crossover announcement went live. The crossover isn't a new limited-time Wildcard event like Blood Pact with its own mode; instead, it layers Godzilla directly onto the existing map rotation on Storm Point.

2. How Godzilla Actually Works on Storm Point
According to EA's official announcement, "Godzilla has come to the Outlands and made Storm Point its stomping ground." Unlike a boss fight, Godzilla isn't something squads are meant to kill. EA is blunt about it: "You can't defeat it, you can only survive."
The Heat Ray and Blast Zones
Godzilla periodically unleashes its signature Heat Ray onto Storm Point, scarring the map with damaged buildings, burnt trees and fallen signage. Before a strike lands, players can see and choose to enter the blast zone, turning Godzilla's attack into a risk-reward play rather than a scripted hazard to avoid.
A Reward for Braving the Blast
Squads willing to push into the blast zone are rewarded with a Care Package exclusive to the event: a custom Devotion LMG fitted with, in EA's words, "a devastating heat ray attack that tracks enemies on hit." It's the clearest mechanical payoff of the collaboration, giving Godzilla a direct effect on how fights play out rather than just reskinning the map.
3. The Godzilla Event Pass: Free and Premium Tracks
As with past Apex crossovers, the content unlocks through an Event Pass with two tracks.
Free Track
Every player who logs in during the event can earn a Tracker Set, badges, Crafting Metals, Event Packs, XP, and the Epic Octane skin "Jet Jaguar" without spending anything.
Premium Track (950 AC)
The paid track costs 950 Apex Coins and includes an Epic P2020 skin, a Legendary Prowler skin, two Epic Apex Packs, a Banner Frame, stickers, a Tracker Set, and the event's headline Iconic skin: Catalyst's "Ghidorah 1991." EA's own promotional images place both the Catalyst and Octane skins at tier 10 of the pass.

4. Every Legend Skin in the Godzilla Event
Ten Legends get Godzilla-franchise-themed skins, each one modeled on a specific kaiju from Toho's catalog rather than a generic "monster" reskin:

The spread of reference points, from 1990s Heisei-era kaiju to the modern 2016 and 2026 designs, suggests this collaboration pulls from across Toho's full Godzilla library rather than just the new film. 5. Weapon Skins and the Dorsal Dagger Melee
Ten Legendary weapon skins are tied to the event, covering the Devotion, Hemlock, Rampage, CAR, Havoc, Longbow, Wingman, Prowler, Spitfire and P2020. Each reworks its weapon with the same icy, kaiju-scale detailing seen across the Legend skins.
The Dorsal Dagger
The event's standout cosmetic is the Dorsal Dagger, a universal melee weapon skin modeled directly on Godzilla's dorsal fins. It can drop from Event Packs, and EA confirms that unlocking it also unlocks a matching Death Box skin, so a kill with the Dagger leaves a themed box behind as well.

6. Twitch Drops: What You Get for Watching
EA has also confirmed Twitch Drops for the event, running November 10–17 through select creators:
- 30 minutes watched: a Chibi Godzilla weapon charm
- 60 minutes watched: the "Mothra's Milestones" Tracker Set
To claim either reward, link your EA account to your Twitch account before watching. EA says drops should appear in-game within 24 hours of your next login after the watch requirement is met.
7. Why This Event Is Landing Now
The timing lines up with two things happening at once. Season 31, subtitled Cipher, went live on November 3 with its own Ranked overhaul, including legend-ban voting for Diamond-and-above lobbies, plus a Crypto rework and the new Akimbo Wingman. Three days later, Godzilla Minus Zero opened in North American theaters. The Godzilla Event effectively bridges the two, giving the new season a high-profile crossover moment in its opening weeks.
