Apex Legends Blood Pact Event: Dates, Beasts vs. Demons Wildcard and New Skins Explained
Apex Legends' Blood Pact Event runs October 13–November 3, splitting Wildcard mode into Beast and Demon factions with their own combat perks. Here's every confirmed detail: the map's Halloween takeover, the new Sparrow and Alter skins, store bundles, and this patch's known issues.
Apex Legends' newest limited-time event, the Blood Pact Event, went live on October 13 and runs through November 3, turning Kings Canyon into a fog-choked, haunted battleground split between two rival factions. Respawn Entertainment and EA detailed the event in an October 8 blog post, and this guide covers everything confirmed so far: the Wildcard mode twist, the Beast and Demon perks, the map changes, the new Legend skins, and what is and isn't fixed in this patch.
If you're new to the game, our 2026 beginner's guide to Legend classes and game modes is a good place to start before jumping into a seasonal event like this one.
1. When the Blood Pact Event Runs
EA's official event post confirms the Blood Pact Event "runs from October 13 to November 3," giving players just over three weeks to grind the Halloween-themed Wildcard challenges, unlock the limited cosmetics, and work through the discounted store bundles before everything rotates out.
2. Picking a Side: Beasts vs. Demons in Wildcard
The event's main hook is a twist on Wildcard mode. Before a match, your squad pledges allegiance to either Team Beast or Team Demon. Each round throws out a fresh challenge — things like dealing a set amount of damage or landing enough knocks — and completing it earns your squad a Wild Card tied to your chosen faction.
Those Wild Cards aren't cosmetic — they unlock the actual combat perks described below, so the side you pledge to each round genuinely changes how your squad plays for the rest of the match.
3. Beast Perks Explained
Pledging to the Beasts unlocks a trio of mobility- and sustain-focused perks as your squad earns Wild Cards:
- Evasive Maneuvers — faster movement speed, plus a Double Jump while your weapon is stowed.
- Fast Draw — faster weapon reloads and quicker shield cell use.
- Critical Roll — temporary guaranteed critical hits immediately after reloading.
The Beast kit rewards an aggressive, close-range playstyle: closing distance faster, getting back into a fight sooner after reloading, and punishing that reload window with guaranteed crits.
4. Demon Perks Explained
The Demon faction leans into ability spam and shield tankiness instead:
- Speedy Charge — faster Tactical and Ultimate ability charge rates.
- Shields Up — squad shields are upgraded to Epic level.
- Super Cells — shield cells regenerate your entire shield bar instead of a partial charge.
Where Beasts win duels through speed and burst crits, Demons are built to out-sustain a fight — cycling abilities faster and shrugging off damage with upgraded, fully-restoring shields.
5. Kings Canyon Gets a Halloween Takeover
Kings Canyon is the map hosting the event, and Respawn reworked it with seasonal fog and set dressing. Random fog rolls across the map, cutting sightlines and making it easier to move undetected — to counter that, the Rev Shell Grenade returns as a way to reveal hidden players. EA's post also calls out haunted buildings, glowing "Nessie" monsters, haunted Loot Bins, pumpkin-skinned EVO orbs, and a giant horned skull built into one point of interest.
None of the decorations are purely cosmetic set dressing you can ignore — the fog in particular changes third-partying risk across the map, so treat it as a real gameplay variable rather than a Halloween skin on top of the usual Kings Canyon loop.
6. New Legend Skins: Sparrow and Alter
Two Legends headline the event's cosmetics. Sparrow gets an '80s-styled werewolf Legend Skin with a matching Character Select Animation, while Alter receives a horned demon Legend Skin. Both appear together in the event key art and in dedicated showcase renders, and an R-99 Blood Pact Weapon Skin (sold in-game as "Ecto Gambit") rounds out the set.
Beast and Demon Legend Retheme Bundles also bundle recolored skins for other Legends into the two factions, letting squads match a Beast or Demon color scheme even if they're not playing Sparrow or Alter directly.
7. Blood Pact Store and Bundles
The in-game store refreshed alongside the event with a wider mix of Legends than just the two headliners — EA's post lists Alter, Octane, Fuse, Sparrow, Conduit, and Revenant getting Blood Pact-themed offers, alongside the R-99 skin and Apex Pack bundles. In the live store, bundles like Restless Spirit and Alpha Wolf are discounted between roughly 30% and 44% off, with Apex Pack-inclusive bundles running around 2,500–4,350 Apex Coins and skin-only bundles priced lower, around 1,800–2,000 Apex Coins.
If you're weighing whether an Apex Pack bundle is worth it, remember the packs themselves can also drop crafting materials and unrelated cosmetics — so treat the discount percentage as a rough guide rather than the full value of what you're buying.
8. Patch Notes and Known Issues
The update shipping with Blood Pact carries one confirmed fix: a problem that stopped some platforms from accessing updated language packs. Respawn's "On Our Radar" section for this patch also lists issues the team hasn't resolved yet, including Alter's tactical portal occasionally dropping players in the wrong location, and players being able to clip through the ground on some structures on Broken Moon. If you hit either of those, they're known issues rather than something specific to your setup.
