Wuthering Waves 3.7 Phase 2: Suoming's Banner and New Events Explained
Wuthering Waves' Version 3.7 Phase 2 went live on October 22, 2026, bringing the new Electro Sword Resonator Suoming to her debut banner alongside reruns for Lucilla and Lynae. Here's what changed, including the new daily events and login rewards available through November 11.
Wuthering Waves' Version 3.7 Phase 2 went live on October 22, 2026, and it brings a new playable Resonator, a fresh set of login and daily-grind events, and a second wave of banners that will run for three weeks. If you've been saving Astrite since Hsin's debut in Phase 1, this is the half of the patch you've been waiting for.
Here's everything confirmed so far about Suoming's arrival, the reruns sharing her banner, and the free rewards Kuro Games has attached to the Phase 2 launch.
1. What Changed With Phase 2
Version 3.7, subtitled "Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination," originally launched on September 30, 2026 with the new Resonator Hsin headlining Phase 1. Phase 2 is the second half of that same update rather than a separate patch, and it swaps in a new Featured Resonator while keeping the rest of 3.7's systems, map content, and main story in place.
According to Kuro Games' own patch materials, the Phase 2 banners and events run from October 22 at 10:00 server time through November 11 at 03:59 server time, giving players roughly three weeks before Version 3.8 is expected to begin its own cycle.
2. Suoming Joins the Battle: Banner Details
Suoming is the second new 5-star Resonator added in Version 3.7, following Hsin in Phase 1. She fights as an Electro Sword user, and her in-game background describes her as the founder of the Ten Seals Covenant and an Intendant of the Ministry of Sentinel Affairs, hailing from Huating in the Mengzhou region.
Her debut Featured Resonator Convene is titled Nine Deaths, One Unbent Heart, and it runs for the full three-week Phase 2 window. Her signature 5-star Sword, Unspoken Rue, has its own Featured Weapon Convene alongside the character banner, which typically boosts the odds of pulling that specific weapon over other 5-star swords in the standard pool.
For a deeper breakdown of her kit, rotation, and recommended teams as more testing data comes in, our Hsin and Suoming banner schedule and team-building guide is being updated as players theorycraft her combos.
3. The Returning Resonators: Lucilla and Lynae
Suoming isn't pulling solo attention this phase. Kuro Games paired her banner with reruns for two previously released 5-star Resonators:
- Lucilla returns on the "Tomorrow in the Frame" banner.
- Lynae returns on the "Undefined Spectrum" banner.
Reruns like these are usually the easier call for newer players, since both characters already have established teams and proven showcases from their original release windows, compared to Suoming, whose full kit is still being documented by the community in these first few days live.
4. New Weapon Banners
Three Featured Weapon Convenes are live alongside the character banners this phase: Unspoken Rue (Suoming's signature Sword), Freeze Frame, and Spectrum Blaster. As with past patches, pulling on a character's matching weapon banner is generally the more resource-efficient route if you already know you want that specific weapon, rather than hoping for it from the standard weapon pool.
Version 3.7 as a whole also introduced five new Echoes — Formrender, Soulfrayer, Skywatch Lancer, Bloomburst Puppet, and Jade Nether Serpent — plus new Sonata Effects including Heart of Sworn Vigil, Flash of Electric Reflection, and Flower of Tinged Yearning. These aren't exclusive to Phase 2, but they remain farmable now and are worth chasing if you're building around Suoming's Electro kit or any of the returning Resonators. Our breakdown of how Echo cost and Sonata tuning works covers how to slot these new Echoes efficiently.
5. Phase 2 Events: Free Rewards and Login Bonuses
Kuro Games attached several limited-time events to the Phase 2 launch, and most of them hand out free pull currency just for logging in or doing dailies:
- Gifts of Singing Drizzle — A login event worth 10 Radiant Tide in total. Logging in once nets 5 Radiant Tide plus a Premium Tuner; reaching three cumulative login days adds another 5 Radiant Tide plus a Crystal Solvent.
- Echo Erase — New daily combat stages with Easy and Hard difficulties. Hard only unlocks after you clear Easy, and rewards scale up to 400 Astrite along with Premium Resonance Potions and Premium Energy Cores.
- Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang — Daily tasks earn Adventure Logs, which exchange for Adventure Packages. Filling three Inventories this way unlocks up to 400 Astrite, 5 Lustrous Tide, and a Premium Tuner.
- Chord Cleansing — Doubles your Tacet Suppression rewards while you spend Waveplates, making it a good window to burn through stamina you'd normally let cap out.
Kuro also added three Version 3.7 Featured Bundles to the in-game store for players who want to spend directly on the new content rather than relying on free currency alone.
6. Should You Pull for Suoming?
Because Suoming only went live today, independent damage testing and tier-list placement are still catching up, so treat any early combat claims — including ones from streamers who had test-build access — as provisional rather than final. What is confirmed is that she's a 5-star Electro Sword Resonator, which puts her in the same weapon-type bracket as a handful of existing DPS and support options already in the game.
If you're newer to Wuthering Waves or still filling out your roster, the Lucilla and Lynae reruns are generally the lower-risk pulls, since their kits and best teams are already well documented. If you specifically want to try Suoming's Electro playstyle, saving your Radiant Tide from the Gifts of Singing Drizzle event and clearing Echo Erase dailies between now and November 11 is the most efficient way to pad your pull currency before the banner ends.
7. Watch the Official Version 3.7 Trailer
Kuro Games published the official Version 3.7 trailer, "Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination," covering the update's story beats and new characters ahead of the Phase 1 launch. It's still the best single overview of what this patch cycle is about, Suoming included.
8. Quick Tips Recap
- Phase 2 runs October 22 to November 11, 2026 (server time).
- Suoming (5-star Electro Sword) headlines "Nine Deaths, One Unbent Heart," backed by reruns for Lucilla ("Tomorrow in the Frame") and Lynae ("Undefined Spectrum").
- Her signature weapon Unspoken Rue, plus Freeze Frame and Spectrum Blaster, are on the Featured Weapon Convenes.
- Log in for Gifts of Singing Drizzle and clear Echo Erase's Easy and Hard stages daily for free Radiant Tide and Astrite before the window closes.
- If you're unsure who to pull, the Lucilla and Lynae reruns are the safer, better-documented picks over the brand-new Suoming.
