Quick Summary

Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, "Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination," launched September 30, 2026 with two new 5-star Resonators, Hsin and Suoming. Here's the full banner schedule, what their Electro kits bring to a team, and everything else that shipped in the patch.

Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, subtitled "Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination," went live on September 30, 2026, bringing two new playable Resonators, a new area, and a round of system upgrades to Kuro Games' open-world action RPG. If you're wondering who Hsin and Suoming are, when their banners actually run, and what else changed in this patch, here's what's confirmed so far.

This guide focuses on the new Resonators and the banner schedule specifically — for the broader rundown of everything in the update, see our Wuthering Waves 3.7 release notes breakdown.

1. What Launched With Version 3.7

Version 3.7 continues the Mengzhou storyline with the new Main Quest Chapter IV Act IV, "Simulacrum of the Heart," which brings the Xuanfang arc to a close. A new Tales Quest, "Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing," unlocks after finishing that main quest chapter. Kuro Games also added a permanent event called "Blooms for the Shadow" alongside the usual run of limited-time activities tied to the patch.

2. Meet Hsin, Mengzhou's First Playable Sentinel

Hsin is a new 5-star Resonator who uses the Electro Rectifier weapon type. Kuro Games has promoted her as the first playable character drawn from the Sentinel faction introduced in the Mengzhou storyline, which makes her as much a narrative reveal as a combat one. Her signature weapon, Blooming Jadehaven, launches alongside her.

Hsin headlines Phase 1 of the Version 3.7 banner cycle, which also carries reruns for two existing 5-star Resonators: Iuno (Aero, Gauntlets) and Chisa (Havoc, Broadblade). That gives Aero and Havoc team builders a window to pick up either of those two alongside Hsin's debut.

3. Suoming Joins in Phase 2

Suoming is the patch's second new 5-star Resonator, wielding the Electro Sword weapon type. She arrives with her own signature weapon, Unspoken Rue, and takes over the spotlight banner when Phase 2 begins. Her Phase 2 banner runs alongside reruns for Lynae (Spectro, Pistols) and Luuk Herssen (Spectro, Gauntlets), so Spectro-focused accounts get a second chance at either of those units in the same version.

4. Full 3.7 Banner Schedule

Kuro Games split the version into two banner phases, as is standard for Wuthering Waves:

  • Phase 1 — September 30 to October 22, 2026: Hsin (new, Electro Rectifier) debuts alongside reruns for Iuno (Aero Gauntlets) and Chisa (Havoc Broadblade).
  • Phase 2 — October 22 to November 11, 2026: Suoming (new, Electro Sword) debuts alongside reruns for Lynae (Spectro Pistols) and Luuk Herssen (Spectro Gauntlets).

Matching weapon banners typically run alongside each phase for players chasing a specific Resonator's signature weapon rather than the character pull itself — check the in-game Convene screen for the exact weapon banner lineup, since Kuro occasionally adjusts weapon pairings close to launch.

5. The New Area: Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou

Version 3.7 opens up the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, a new explorable zone tied to the Chapter IV Act IV story content. Coverage from the version's preview materials describes it as a set of linked areas built around a central Heartscape Labyrinth, bordered by four elemental "Heart" regions. It's the latest expansion of the Mengzhou continent that Kuro Games has been building out since Version 3.5.

6. Early Team-Building Notes for Hsin and Suoming

Because both new Resonators are Electro, they open up fresh options for Electro-focused teams rather than needing an entirely new team archetype built around them. Hsin's Rectifier kit and status as the first Sentinel-faction unit in the roster suggest she's likely to carry a support or off-field utility role rather than acting as a pure on-field Electro carry, based on how Kuro Games has used the Rectifier weapon type for its other Resonators to date. Suoming's Sword kit points toward more of an on-field skill-weaving role, in line with how Sword users typically function in Wuthering Waves' combat system.

If you're planning pulls, it's worth deciding whether you actually need a new Electro unit before committing resources — the two rerunning Aero and Havoc units in Phase 1 (Iuno and Chisa) and the two rerunning Spectro units in Phase 2 (Lynae and Luuk Herssen) may be a better use of Astrite if you're missing a core piece of an existing team rather than starting a new Electro comp from scratch. Full kit breakdowns, talent scaling, and recommended Echo sets typically take a few days to be verified in detail after a character's banner actually goes live, so treat early team suggestions as a starting point rather than a finished build.

7. Should You Pull for Either One?

Kuro Games hasn't published full talent numbers or Resonance Chain effects for Hsin and Suoming outside of the preview broadcast, so treat any specific damage percentages or scaling figures you see online before launch as early estimates rather than confirmed values. What is confirmed is the role split: Hsin is the more unusual pull of the two, since she's the first unit built around the Sentinel faction introduced through the Mengzhou story, and factional "firsts" in gacha games often come with kit mechanics that don't get reused again for a while. Suoming's Sword-based kit is a more familiar archetype if you already run an on-field Electro skill-weaver and just want a stronger option.

If your account is still filling out its first few teams, prioritizing whichever element you're weakest in — rather than chasing every new release — will usually get you further than pulling for both Hsin and Suoming back to back. Save a close read of patch notes and any day-one tier lists for after each Resonator's banner actually opens, since kit details are sometimes adjusted between the preview broadcast and launch.

8. New Weapons and System Changes

Alongside the two signature weapons — Blooming Jadehaven for Hsin and Unspoken Rue for Suoming — Version 3.7 includes several quality-of-life changes:

  • Camera system upgrade: Kuro Games describes it as a major overhaul, aimed at improving framing during combat and exploration.
  • Expanded team management: players can now save up to 20 team setups, up from the previous cap, making it easier to keep separate rosters for combat, exploration, and specific bosses.
  • Echo management streamlining: changes intended to cut down on the menu work involved in sorting and equipping Echoes.
  • Main Quest Replay: lets players revisit completed story chapters, including Chapter IV Act IV, without starting a new save.
  • Tiered client resource downloads: a limited test on PC and mobile that lets players download assets in stages rather than all at once, aimed at cutting initial install size.
