How to use this page

1

Find your decade

Each card is one game. The badge tells you which decade it is; open a decade page for its own archive.

2

Tap to reveal

Song and artist stay blurred until you tap, and the SoundCloud player appears only after the reveal so nothing is spoiled by accident.

3

Lock in your streak

Type the title into the game — guessing on the first one-second clip still counts as a win.

What is Heardle Decades?

Heardle Decades is a group of free browser games inspired by the original Heardle. Every day each game picks one song from its decade and plays you the first second of it. Name the track and you win; guess wrong or skip and you unlock a longer clip — two, four, seven, eleven and finally sixteen seconds — for up to six attempts. All six games (Heardle 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s) reset at local midnight, and everyone gets the same song each day. Tracks stream from SoundCloud, which is why we can embed the exact clip the game used.

Heardle Decades is an independent fan-made game family. This page is an independent reference — not affiliated with heardledecades.com — that verifies and publishes each day’s answers for players who get stuck.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often is this page updated?
Every morning. The games roll over on the player’s local calendar day; we publish the new songs for all six decades shortly after the US reset.
Why are the answers blurred?
So you can browse the six decades without spoiling one you haven’t played yet. Tap “Reveal the song” on any card, or “Reveal all six” at the top.
Is Heardle 80s a different game?
Heardle 80s lives at heardle80s.com but is part of the same Heardle Decades family, with the same rules. It has its own page here.
What do the puzzle numbers mean?
Each game counts days from its own launch date (Heardle 80s started April 24, 2022; the 60s, 70s and 90s on May 5, 2022; 00s on August 11, 2022; 10s on March 5, 2023), so the numbers differ per decade.
