Rockstar Games has confirmed that deep vehicle customization is returning for Grand Theft Auto VI, and for the first time the studio has put names, locations and screenshots behind the mod shops themselves. Two dedicated garages, Rideout Customs in Vice City and One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop in Lake Leonida, are confirmed via Rockstar's official GTA 6 editions page, alongside a full roster of customized vehicles tied to the Ultimate Edition and the Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus.

1. What Rockstar Has Confirmed About Vehicle Customization
GTA Online and GTA V players will recognize the basic idea: visit a mod shop, hand over cash, walk out with a personalized ride. What's new for GTA 6 is that customization is explicitly tied to two named, location-specific shops rather than one universal chain like Los Santos Customs. Rockstar's own copy describes the pitch plainly: the goal is to "transform vanilla vehicles into magnificent works of art with detailed interiors, exquisite rims, and donk stylings."
Both Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's are confirmed as Ultimate Edition exclusives, meaning access to these specific shops (and the free customization jobs that come with them) is a pre-order and edition perk rather than a baseline feature everyone gets on day one. Rockstar has not yet detailed whether a separate, standard-edition mod shop exists elsewhere in Leonida, so treat that as unconfirmed for now rather than assuming it away.
2. Rideout Customs: Vice City's Donk and Lowrider Specialist
Rideout Customs is the Vice City shop, and its focus is explicitly retro and flashy: detailed interiors, elaborate rims and "donk stylings" — the lifted, oversized-wheel look associated with classic American sedans. Rockstar's own screenshots for the shop show a mechanic working underneath a car on a lift while another character looks on, and a showcase image of a gold-flake lowrider riding on enormous gold wheels with spade-shaped cutouts.
If you've spent time in GTA Online's lowrider or Benny's Original Motor Works content, this is clearly Rockstar leaning back into that aesthetic with a next-gen visual upgrade — glossy paint that catches light realistically, and wheel designs detailed enough to read as jewelry rather than just a texture swap.
3. One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop: Off-Road Builds in Lake Leonida
Head inland to Lake Leonida and the second confirmed shop, One-Eyed Willie's, takes the opposite approach. Rockstar describes it as specializing in "off-road modifications and hand-painted automotive artistry," and the shop is, again, "only open for business with the Ultimate Edition."
The official screenshot backs that description up directly: a green Canis pickup truck riding on all-terrain tires with a front winch, skid plate and a hand-painted creature graphic across the door panel. It's a completely different visual language from Rideout Customs — mud, brush guards and utility rather than chrome and gloss — which suggests Rockstar wants the two shops to feel like they serve genuinely different corners of Leonida's car culture rather than being reskins of each other.
4. The Ultimate Edition Vehicle Roster
Beyond the two shops themselves, Rockstar has confirmed a specific set of vehicles that unlock progressively across Jason and Lucia's story when you own the Ultimate Edition. According to the editions page, new items unlock chapter by chapter rather than all at once:
- '95 Grotti Cheetah — described as "Grotti's signature mid '90s sports car and ode to Shore Drive," finished in a minimalist retro-futuristic livery. It's shown parked outside a Pegassi-branded high-rise in Vice City and is positioned as a later-story unlock "to punctuate later-stage action."
- Shitzu Squalo — a yacht docked at Washington Beach. Official art shows it cruising Vice City's waterfront at dusk in a pink-to-blue gradient wrap, with Jason and Lucia aboard.
- '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy — a lifted, mud-terrain buggy Rockstar calls a "Mud Club monster," built for "the backwoods of Mount Kalaga and beyond." It stores at the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, which also includes a weapon locker and a fence for stolen goods.
- Dinka Enduro motorcycle and Crest Kayak — both confirmed to spawn at Jason's safehouse.
The Vapid Dominator Buggy in particular shows off just how far Rockstar's mud and weather tech has come — official art shows it caked in wet mud, throwing up debris on a rain-soaked trail, tires and suspension flexing over the terrain.
5. The Vintage Vice City Pack: A Callback on Wheels
Separate from the Ultimate Edition's chapter unlocks, every GTA 6 pre-order (regardless of edition) includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. Rockstar's own description leans hard into nostalgia: "Flash back to when the neon burned brightest with the Vintage Vice City Pack, featuring the timeless two-tone '55 Vapid Stanier sedan and garage alongside the world-famous Ocean Beach, decadent outfits and hairstyles for both Jason and Lucia, and an iconic weapon pattern that echoes the excess of the past."
The official screenshot shows the Stanier in a yellow-and-white two-tone paint job, parked on a neon-lit Vice City street at night with Jason and Lucia inside — a look that's unmistakably built to evoke the original 1980s Vice City aesthetic on current hardware.
6. What the Screenshots Hint at for General Customization
Rockstar hasn't published a feature list for the customization menu itself, so anything beyond what's visible in official art should be treated as unconfirmed. That said, the confirmed screenshots are useful evidence on their own: the Rideout Customs lowrider shows independently colored wheel faces and lip finishes, a two-tone body wrap and a custom license plate frame, while the One-Eyed Willie's truck shows a hand-painted door graphic layered over a solid body color, a roof-mounted light bar, a winch and a front skid plate as separate, swappable-looking components.
That level of part separation (paint, wheels, lighting, protective gear and graphics all reading as distinct layers) is consistent with a deeper customization system than GTA V's Benny's shop offered, but Rockstar has not put a number on how many parts or paint options will exist, so we're not going to guess at a figure here.
7. Do You Need the Ultimate Edition to Customize Cars at All?
