EA Sports officially revealed Season 2: FC Heritage for Football Ultimate Team in EA Sports FC 27 on October 22, 2026. The season-long celebration of FUT nostalgia brings a new Legendary Ladder, the return of the Daily Knockout Tournament, a five-stage FC Heritage Circuit built around the fan-favorite Ultimate Scream event, and the biggest FUT Gallery expansion since launch.

Here's a complete breakdown of what EA has confirmed for Season 2, built directly from the official announcement.

1. What Is FC Heritage?

FC Heritage is Football Ultimate Team's second season of EA Sports FC 27, and it's built entirely around FUT nostalgia. According to EA, the season "honours the community favourites, squad staples, and iconic Campaigns that have shaped EA Sports FC over the years." The theme takes its cue from Hall of FUT, the permanent gallery of legendary FUT items added at launch, and extends it with a new wave of FC Heritage Player Items. These cards give "an honourable mention" to real players who are behind some of FUT's most memorable items and moments — active stars building their own case for a future place in the Hall of FUT.

FC Heritage Player Items and other Season 2 rewards are earned through the Season Pass, Live Events, and other season content, rather than being dropped into packs at random. That structure mirrors how EA built Season 1 around its own themed Ladder and promo content, giving Season 2 a familiar shape even as the Heritage theme changes what's actually on offer.

2. The Legendary Season 2 Ladder: Standard and Premium Rewards

Season 2 brings fresh Standard and Premium Ladders, and EA has confirmed up to 16 FC Heritage Player Items are available across both, honoring active players who have helped define FUT culture.

Standard Ladder

Climbing the free Standard Ladder earns FC Heritage rewards including Botafogo's Allan, Manchester United's Fridolina Rolfö, and the Level 30 item, Charlotte FC's Allan Saint-Maximin.

Premium Pass

Progressing through the Premium Pass unlocks items such as Abha's Nabil Fekir and Real Madrid's Athenea, finishing with Manchester United's Marcus Rashford at Level 30.

Both Ladders also carry retro Ultimate Scream card shells, themed Evolutions, and standard Pack rewards throughout the season.

3. The Daily Knockout Tournament Returns

A familiar piece of Ultimate Team history is back for Season 2: the PvP Daily Knockout Tournament. EA describes it as "another piece of Ultimate Team history" returning for FC Heritage, pitting players against each other in knockout-format competition.

The Tournament runs every week for the duration of the season. Competing earns additional rewards on top of the Ladder, including an FC Heritage Player Item, Coins, and untradeable Packs.

4. The FC Heritage Circuit: Five Live Events Explained

The centerpiece of Season 2's single-player content is the FC Heritage Circuit, described by EA as "a connected journey through five Single Player Live Events." The full Circuit launches at the start of the season, with each stage unlocking as players progress through the one before it. Every stage rewards FC Heritage Player Items, Coins, and untradeable Packs.

Stage 1: Kick Off Event

Players choose their own difficulty to begin the Circuit, setting the pace for the stages that follow.

Stage 2: Ultimate Scream (Semi-Pro)

The Circuit's second stage folds in the returning Halloween-themed Ultimate Scream promo, played on Semi-Pro difficulty. EA confirmed the standalone Ultimate Scream event separately on October 23, 2026, describing it as "unmasking the hidden sides of some of football's biggest names through authentic position changes and unique upgrade paths" across two weeks of Live Events, Objectives, Squad Building Challenges, and Evolutions.

A few confirmed specifics for the wider Ultimate Scream event:

  • Token Store: Completing themed Objectives earns Ultimate Scream Tokens, redeemable for Token Store Heroes, Packs, and Evolutions. The Token Store stays open for an extra week after the event ends so leftover Tokens don't go to waste.
  • Beaver Moon upgrade: Starting November 24, 2026, all Ultimate Scream Player Items get a one-week transformation tied to November's Beaver Full Moon — one face stat boosted to 99, plus full in-position Chemistry.
  • Evolutions: The Token Store houses two Evolutions (a defensive-stat upgrade and a PlayStyle+ for a wide player), alongside Cosmetic Evolutions including retro FUT 17, FUT 19, and FUT 20 Ultimate Scream card shells.
  • Ghoul Fest: In the event's second week, a "No Rules" ruleset removes offsides and fouls, with two Flash Rush events running each week to earn extra Tokens.
  • SBCs: Expect Halloween-themed Puzzle SBCs, Ultimate Scream SBCs, and Showdown SBCs throughout.

Stage 3: Hall of FUT — Unleashed (Professional)

Stage three raises the difficulty to Professional and pits players against nostalgic opponents drawn from Hall of FUT.

Stage 4: Thunderstruck (World Class)

The fourth stage, Thunderstruck, is played on World Class difficulty — the toughest test before the Circuit's finale.

Stage 5: The Final Tournament

Qualifying players face a three-round Tournament that climbs from Professional to World Class difficulty before a Legendary-difficulty final match closes out the Circuit.

5. FUT Gallery's Biggest Expansion Yet

Season 2 also delivers what EA calls "the first big expansion of FUT Gallery" since the mode launched alongside EA Sports FC 27. More than 60 new Sets are being added, including new League and Club Sets for MLS, the NWSL, and the Roshn Saudi League. Submitting Sets grows a player's Gallery Level, which in turn unlocks further Season 2 rewards.

FUT Gallery lets players curate their favorite Player Items on display, building out their Club's identity over the course of the season rather than just stockpiling cards in storage.

6. How to Prepare for Season 2

A few practical notes for players gearing up for FC Heritage:

  • Finish up any remaining Season 1 Ladder and Live Event rewards before Season 2 content takes over the FUT menus.
  • Save Coins and untradeable Packs where possible — both Ladders and the Daily Knockout Tournament lean on them as recurring rewards.
  • Stock up on Sets eligible for FUT Gallery submission ahead of the 60+ new additions, since Gallery Level progress carries forward.
  • Decide early whether to invest in the Premium Pass, since its exclusive items — including the Level 30 Marcus Rashford card — aren't available through the free Standard Ladder.

Quick recap: Season 2: FC Heritage went live following EA's October 22 announcement, headlined by a 16-item Legendary Ladder across Standard and Premium tracks, a returning Daily Knockout Tournament, a five-stage single-player Circuit that folds in Ultimate Scream, and FUT Gallery's largest expansion yet with 60+ new Sets.
