GTA 6 Radio Stations: Every Confirmed Station, Host and Genre Explained
Rockstar has confirmed the first six radio stations for GTA 6, including Flash FM, The Chamber 106.6 and AfroBank FM, each with its own in-world hosts and genre. Here's every station, host and feature confirmed so far, including GTA 6's new on-foot radio listening through connected headphones.
Rockstar Games has started filling in one of the last big unknowns about Grand Theft Auto 6: what you'll actually hear while driving around Leonida. On October 8, the studio used the official Grand Theft Auto VI website to preview the first six confirmed in-game radio stations, complete with hosts, genre blurbs and short audio previews. With the game's November 19 release now under a month away, here's exactly what Rockstar has confirmed about GTA 6's radio lineup, how you'll listen to it, and what's still unannounced.
1. How Rockstar Revealed the Stations
The reveal landed on the Music page of the official GTA VI site rather than as a standalone trailer. Rockstar added six "promo cards," one per station, each pairing a station name and genre with a short description of its hosts and sound, plus a streaming preview of the music mix. This is the first time Rockstar has confirmed specific station names, hosts and genres for GTA 6 rather than just teasing that in-game radio was returning.
It's also worth noting what this reveal is not: a full track list. Rockstar has not said which songs play on any of the six stations, and it has confirmed that more stations - including a classic rock format and a talk-radio station - exist but haven't been detailed yet. Treat this as a first wave, not the final lineup.
2. The Six Confirmed Stations
Here is every station Rockstar has named so far, with the official genre, host and description pulled directly from the GTA VI website.
Cocoteo FM - Modern Latin
Hosted by El Martillo and La Gata. Rockstar's own description: "Modern Latin from El Martillo and La Gata. El party que nunca se apaga" (the party that never stops).
Back Country Radio - Country
Hosted by MW and Delta Dawne. Rockstar's description leans into the game's swampier side of Leonida: "Airboat-ready renegade country from MW and Delta Dawne."
AfroBank FM - African Music
Hosted by Burna and Palmsy. Official description: "Amapiano, African classics, 3-step, and more from Burna and Palmsy. Turn up the gbedu."
The Chamber 106.6 - Metal
Hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. Rockstar describes it bluntly: "Crushing metal has landed in Leonida. Jump in the pit with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom."
Flash FM - Pop
Hosted by Robyn and Alex. Flash FM is a returning name from the original Vice City, and Rockstar frames it the same way now as a local institution: "The Vice City institution that delivers the best in pop music and guaranteed grooves with Robyn and Alex."
Dirty South Classics - Regional Rap and Hip-Hop
Hosted by Trick and Trina. Official description: "A little southern hospitality from Trick and Trina, blasting regional rap and hip-hop classics."
3. Who's Actually Behind the Mic
Rockstar's own copy sticks to in-world host names like El Martillo, DJ Kerry and Burna rather than spelling out real-world identities. Multiple outlets covering the October 8 reveal have reported that several of these hosts line up with real musicians - for example, linking The Chamber's "DJ Kerry and DJ Tom" to Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya. None of that has been confirmed in Rockstar's own station descriptions, so treat any specific celebrity identification as media reporting rather than an official credit until Rockstar's site or Newswire says so directly.
4. New Ways to Listen: On Foot and Through Headphones
The bigger mechanical change tied to this reveal isn't a station name, it's how you'll hear them. Coverage of the October 8 update consistently describes a new feature letting Jason and Lucia listen to radio stations and on-demand podcasts on foot, not just behind the wheel, through headphones or earbuds paired to their in-game phone. That's a first for the series - previous GTA games limited full radio listening to vehicles, with only short clips playable from a phone or boombox. Rockstar has also confirmed a slate of on-demand podcasts for Jason and Lucia alongside the music stations, though full episode details haven't been published yet.
5. What's Still Unannounced
A few things Rockstar has deliberately left out of this first wave:
- Track lists. No songs have been confirmed for any of the six stations yet.
- Remaining stations. Rockstar has acknowledged more stations exist, including classic rock and talk radio formats, without naming them.
- Full host credits. Real-world artist names behind each station character haven't been officially confirmed by Rockstar.
Expect more of the lineup to surface between now and launch, likely through further additions to the GTA VI Music page rather than a single all-at-once track list reveal, based on how Rockstar staggered its other pre-launch marketing (the cover art, the Extended Look gameplay video and the launch trailer were all revealed as separate drops rather than bundled together).
6. Why the Radio Lineup Matters for Launch
GTA's radio stations have always done more than fill silence in the car - they're one of the main ways Rockstar builds the personality of its setting, going back to Vice City's original Flash FM and Emotion 98.3. Bringing Flash FM back by name, alongside new stations built specifically around Leonida's Latin, country, African and Southern hip-hop scenes, signals how Rockstar wants the state to feel distinct from both the original Vice City and from GTA 5's Los Santos. Combined with everything already confirmed about Leonida's regions and the Vice City map, the station lineup is another piece of world-building Rockstar is revealing piece by piece ahead of release.
If you're tracking every official drop, the radio reveal sits alongside the separate GTA VI: The Album vinyl and soundtrack release - that's a standalone licensed album tied to the game's marketing, not the same thing as the in-game radio stations covered here, even though both use similar artwork.
