GTA 6 Pre-Order Bonuses Explained: The Vintage Vice City Pack and Free Month of GTA+
Grand Theft Auto VI's pre-order includes two separate bonuses: the Vintage Vice City Pack (a retro '55 Vapid Stanier, outfits, hairstyles and a weapon skin) and a free month of GTA+. Here's exactly what's in each, who qualifies, and the November 20 cutoff to know about.
Every Grand Theft Auto VI pre-order comes with more than just a release-day download. On top of the $79.99 Standard Edition or $99.99 Ultimate Edition, Rockstar Games is bundling in two separate freebies: the Vintage Vice City Pack, a set of retro cosmetics and a classic car, and a free month of GTA+, Rockstar's GTA Online subscription. They're easy to mix up, they don't have the same eligibility rules, and Rockstar's own store page buries the fine print in a benefits carousel. Here's exactly what's in each one, who actually qualifies, and when it shows up in-game.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders have been open since June 25, 2026, and both bonuses below are confirmed directly on Rockstar's official Grand Theft Auto VI product page and Take-Two's official pre-order announcement.
1. What's Actually in the Vintage Vice City Pack
Rockstar describes the Vintage Vice City Pack as a way to "flash back to when the neon burned brightest," and the official breakdown lists four confirmed components: a classic car and garage, protagonist outfits, protagonist hairstyles, and a weapon pattern. It isn't tied to the Ultimate Edition — it's a separate pre-order incentive that stacks on top of whichever edition you buy.
The '55 Vapid Stanier and Garage
The centerpiece is a two-tone, period-correct '55 Vapid Stanier sedan, styled after late-1950s American cruisers with a yellow-and-white paint job, whitewall tires, and chrome trim. It comes with its own garage, so it's stored and ready to drive from the start rather than something you have to track down or buy in-world.
Exclusive Outfits and Hairstyles
Both Jason and Lucia get dedicated retro wardrobes and hairstyles as part of the pack, themed around the same late-night, neon-soaked aesthetic as the car. Rockstar's promotional art shows both characters in era-appropriate looks — sequined dresses, open-collar jackets, and period hair — at what appears to be a Vice City nightclub.
The Weapon Pattern
Rounding out the pack is what Rockstar calls "an iconic weapon pattern that echoes the excess of the past" — a cosmetic skin applied to weapons rather than a new gun. Rockstar hasn't specified which weapons it covers, so treat that detail as unconfirmed until it's shown in more detail closer to launch.
2. Who Actually Gets the Vintage Vice City Pack
This is the part that trips people up: the Vintage Vice City Pack isn't exclusive to pre-orders. According to Rockstar and Take-Two's official pre-order announcement, any Grand Theft Auto VI purchase made before November 20, 2026 — digital or physical, Standard or Ultimate, pre-ordered or bought outright — qualifies. Physical copies are included too, while supplies last, even though the box itself only contains a download code and no disc.
That gives you a window that runs from when pre-orders opened in June all the way through launch day. Buy anytime before the cutoff and the pack is yours; miss it, and Rockstar hasn't said whether or how it'll be sold separately afterward.
3. The Free Month of GTA+: What It Actually Includes
The second bonus is unrelated to cosmetics entirely. GTA+ is Rockstar's existing Grand Theft Auto Online subscription service, and a pre-order of GTA 6 includes one free month of it. Per Rockstar's own description, that month includes:
- A recurring monthly GTA$500,000 deposit into your GTA Online character's bank account
- Special Shark Cards with a 15% bonus on GTA$ purchased
- Access to free and discounted GTA Online vehicles
- A rotating selection of classic Rockstar titles and other games through the GTA+ Games Library
In other words, this bonus is entirely about GTA Online — the existing, still-running multiplayer game — not Grand Theft Auto VI's single-player campaign. It's a nice perk if you already play GTA Online or plan to, but it has no bearing on Jason and Lucia's story.
4. Why the GTA+ Bonus Is More Restrictive Than the Vice City Pack
Unlike the Vintage Vice City Pack, the free GTA+ month is limited to digital pre-orders. Buying a physical copy, or buying any version of the game after it launches on November 19, doesn't qualify — only a digital pre-order placed ahead of release does. If a free month of GTA+ matters to you, that's the one bonus here where timing and purchase method both have to line up, not just the November 20 purchase-date cutoff that covers the cosmetics pack.
5. Pre-Load Dates and How the Bonuses Show Up
Digital pre-loading for Grand Theft Auto VI begins November 12, 2026, a week ahead of release, for anyone who has pre-ordered. The physical edition — again, a download code in a box rather than a disc — becomes available to redeem from the same date. Rockstar hasn't published a separate activation step for either bonus; both the Vintage Vice City Pack and the GTA+ month are expected to be tied automatically to the account that made the qualifying purchase and should be available as soon as you're in-game on launch day.
6. Where This Fits With the Standard and Ultimate Editions
Both bonuses apply on top of whichever edition you buy — they aren't a reason to choose Standard over Ultimate or vice versa. If you're still deciding between the two, how the Standard and Ultimate Editions compare covers the pricing and Ultimate-exclusive content separately from what's in this pack. If your interest is more in what you'll actually be driving and styling your characters in once you're playing, the mod shops and garages across Leonida go into more detail on customization once the game is live.
Quick Recap
- Vintage Vice City Pack = '55 Vapid Stanier + garage, retro outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a weapon pattern
- Included free with any GTA 6 purchase — digital or physical, pre-ordered or not — made before November 20, 2026
- Free GTA+ month = GTA$500,000 monthly deposit, 15% bonus Shark Cards, discounted vehicles, and the GTA+ Games Library — all for GTA Online, not GTA 6's campaign
- GTA+ bonus requires a digital pre-order specifically; it isn't included with physical copies or post-launch purchases
- Digital pre-loading opens November 12, 2026; the game launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
