GTA 6 Vehicles and Customization Explained: Mod Shops, Classic Cars and the Vice City Garage
Rockstar's official GTA 6 site confirms two Ultimate Edition-exclusive mod shops, Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's, plus Wyman's Classic Car Collection and other vehicle bonuses. Here's every vehicle type confirmed from the Extended Look, how customization works, and what's launch-exclusive to the Ultimate Edition.
Grand Theft Auto VI's "An Extended Look" gave fans their longest and clearest look yet at how Jason and Lucia will actually get around Leonida, and vehicles were everywhere in it: muscle cars, dirt bikes, airboats, speedboats and more, all shown running on PS5 hardware. Rockstar has also quietly detailed exactly what the Ultimate Edition's vehicle-focused bonus content looks like on the official GTA 6 site, down to the two dedicated mod shops players will be able to visit at launch.
Here's everything confirmed so far about GTA 6's vehicles, how customization works, and what's exclusive to the Ultimate Edition.
1. The Biggest Vehicle Reveal Yet
The nearly 27-minute Extended Look, which premiered on Netflix before going free on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the official Grand Theft Auto VI website, was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5. Alongside story moments with protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, it spent long stretches on driving, boating and general Leonida traffic, giving the clearest view yet of how varied the vehicle roster is going to be.
Outlets that have spent time cataloguing every car, bike, boat and plane visible across the trailers and official screenshots now count well over 200 distinct vehicles, spanning everyday sedans, exotic supercars, work trucks, choppers and swamp-ready specialty rides. Rockstar hasn't published an official total, so treat any precise number as fan-tracked rather than confirmed, but the scale on display is clearly a step up from Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V.
2. Every Way to Get Around Leonida
GTA 6 keeps the land, sea and air structure Rockstar built for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, then widens it for a coastal setting. Confirmed vehicle categories include:
- Cars — from economy sedans and work trucks up to hypercars, continuing the series' tradition of fictional in-universe manufacturers like Grotti, Vapid, Albany and Declasse.
- Motorcycles and off-road bikes — dirt bikes and choppers built for both street riding and backcountry trails.
- Watercraft — speedboats, fishing boats and jet skis for Leonida's rivers, bays and open coastline.
- Aircraft — helicopters and planes have appeared across the trailers, continuing series staples.
- Public and utility vehicles — buses, trams and service vehicles that flesh out Vice City's everyday traffic rather than just player-driven rides.
- Airboats — a new vehicle type built specifically for the Everglades-style swamps around Leonida, with flat hulls designed for shallow water few other vehicles can cross.
That swamp terrain is a big part of why airboats matter: large parts of Leonida outside Vice City are wetland, and Rockstar has shown multiple airboat variants cutting through them, including liveries tied to in-game wildlife services.
3. Deeper Customization and Driving Feel
Rockstar has confirmed that car customization returns and goes further than previous entries. Vehicles are built with fully interactive interiors, and the Extended Look showed both first-person and third-person driving cameras in active use, something fans have requested since GTA V introduced interior views. Visual customization covers paint, rims and body styling, and the trailers have shown everything from showroom-stock cars to heavily modified lowriders and off-road builds, suggesting a wide range of mod options rather than a handful of presets.

4. The Ultimate Edition's Two Mod Shops
Rockstar's official GTA 6 site confirms that two vehicle customization locations are exclusive to the Ultimate Edition at launch. Both are real, drivable destinations in the world rather than menu-only upgrades.
Rideout Customs (Vice City)
Rideout Customs is described by Rockstar as a shop that can "transform vanilla vehicles into magnificent works of art with detailed interiors, exquisite rims, and donk stylings." Official screenshots show a heavily chromed, gold-flaked lowrider up on oversized spade-pattern wheels, alongside shots of a mechanic working underneath a customer's car inside the shop.
One-Eyed Willie's (Lake Leonida)
The second shop sits out at Lake Leonida and takes the opposite approach. Rockstar's own description: "This mod shop in Lake Leonida specializes in off-road modifications and hand-painted automotive artistry. Only open for business with the Ultimate Edition." Official art shows a two-door off-road truck finished in a hand-painted green scheme with reinforced bumpers, a winch and oversized all-terrain tires.
Between the two shops, Rockstar is drawing a clear line between Vice City's street and lowrider culture and Leonida's rural off-road scene — mirroring the real contrast between Miami and the swamps and backcountry that make up the rest of the state. 5. Ultimate Edition Bonus Vehicles
Beyond the two mod shops, Rockstar has detailed several vehicle-related content packs that are also tied to the Ultimate Edition.
Wyman's Classic Car Collection
This bonus has players working with "eccentric collector and local fixer" Wyman, tracking down "a variety of abandoned classic and work-in-progress project cars" and restoring them. Official screenshots show Wyman — in a "Wyman's World Auto Salvage Co." tank top — standing in a salvage yard surrounded by flag-liveried and numbered classic muscle cars.
Jason's Safehouse Vehicles and the Vintage Vice City Pack
A separate bonus parks a Vapid Ganado pickup, an Army-fatigue-patterned Dinka Enduro motorcycle and a Crest Kayak outside Jason's safehouse from the start of the game (pictured above). Rockstar has also detailed a standalone Vintage Vice City Pack, which includes period-styled looks and a '55-era Vapid Stanier sedan — official art shows the car cruising a neon-lit Vice City street at night with Jason and Lucia inside.
None of this bonus content is required to finish the story — Rockstar frames all of it as cosmetic and collection-focused extras layered on top of the same base game. 6. Watch the Vehicles in Action
The clearest look at how all of this actually drives, rides and floats in-game remains Rockstar's own Extended Look upload.
