Quick Summary

Rockstar has opened pre-orders for a $399.99 Grand Theft Auto VI merchandise box with 11 Vice City-themed items — and a separate apparel line — but neither includes the game itself. Here's exactly what's in each, what they cost, and how they differ from pre-ordering the Standard or Ultimate Edition.

Rockstar Games has opened official pre-orders for a $399.99 physical merchandise box built entirely around Grand Theft Auto VI's setting of Vice City and the state of Leonida — and, notably, the box does not include a copy of the game itself. Alongside it, Rockstar has also launched a smaller, cheaper apparel and accessories line sold directly through the Rockstar Warehouse storefront. Here's exactly what's in each, what it costs, and how it differs from simply pre-ordering the Standard or Ultimate Edition of the game.

1. The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection: What's Actually Inside the Box

The flagship product is officially named Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, and it's a themed collector's box rather than a game edition. It contains 11 separate items, all built around in-universe Leonida branding:

  • A six-inch Macca the Gator figure with a hidden stash compartment built into its twist-open base
  • Matte black Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses and a pink GTA VI logo
  • A Leonida Keys crossbody bag made of ripstop fabric with a patterned lining
  • A New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback cap with Vice City Leonida detailing
  • A Macca the Gator magnetic mirror
  • A Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
  • A Vice City collectible swizzle spoon
  • A metal keychain shaped like a razor blade, embossed with the GTA VI and Vice City logos
  • A set of nine Leonida Keys enamel pins packaged in a metal tin
  • A sticker pack with nine Leonida Keys stickers
  • A double-sided souvenir poster, with Macca the Gator artwork on one side and a map of Leonida on the other

2. Price, Release Date and What's Not Included

Rockstar's own store lists the box at $399.99 in the US (reported elsewhere as £349.99 in the UK). It's listed as "Coming Soon" and sold as a pre-order while supplies last, with no confirmed restock if it sells out. Shipping is scheduled for November 19, 2026 — the same day Grand Theft Auto VI itself launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — though Rockstar notes that date isn't guaranteed for every order, and the box is not eligible for free shipping.

The most important detail for anyone considering it: the game is not included. This is a themed merchandise box, not a collector's edition of the software. If you want to actually play GTA VI at launch, you still need to separately pre-order the Standard or Ultimate Edition of the game.

3. The Grand Theft Auto VI Collection: Apparel and Everyday Accessories

Separate from the $399.99 box, Rockstar has also opened a standing Grand Theft Auto VI Collection on its official store, selling individual apparel and accessories year-round rather than as a one-time bundle. Confirmed items currently listed include:

  • A blue Goodtime State Tee ($29.99), printed with a "Greetings from Vice City" postcard-style graphic featuring Vice City's alligator and flamingo mascots
  • A Vice City Zippo lighter ($39.99), engraved with the Rockstar "R★" logo
  • A black-and-pink GTA VI baseball cap ($29.99) with an embroidered palm-tree "VI" logo
  • A pink-and-blue canvas tote bag ($39.99), also featuring the palm-tree "VI" logo

Rockstar has said this is not the full collection and that more merchandise will be added over time, so expect the lineup to grow between now and launch. Stock has already fluctuated — the Zippo lighter and baseball cap have both briefly sold out since launch.

4. Where to Buy and Shipping Restrictions

Everything above is sold exclusively through Rockstar's own storefront at store.rockstargames.com — it isn't available through Amazon, GameStop, or other third-party retailers at this time. That matters for shipping: coverage of the launch reports that Rockstar's store currently ships to roughly 30 countries, and several major markets — including India, Brazil, and Mexico — are not yet supported. If you're outside that list, you'll need to use a freight-forwarding service or wait to see if availability expands closer to launch.

Because items are listed individually rather than as a single checkout bundle, it's worth checking stock on each product page separately — a sold-out tee or cap doesn't mean the whole collection is unavailable, just that one specific item needs a restock. The $399.99 box is also explicitly excluded from free shipping offers, so factor that into the total cost before checking out.

5. How This Compares to Pre-Ordering the Game Itself

It's easy to conflate this merchandise with the actual game editions, so here's the distinction. Pre-ordering the Standard Edition ($79.99) or Ultimate Edition ($99.99) of Grand Theft Auto VI gets you the software, plus pre-order bonuses like the Vintage Vice City Pack and a free month of GTA+ on digital orders — we cover exactly what's included in each edition in our full GTA 6 Standard vs. Ultimate Edition breakdown. Neither game edition includes any of the physical items described above, and neither the $399.99 box nor the apparel line includes a copy of the game. They are entirely separate purchases that happen to share launch-week branding.

On the digital side specifically, pre-ordering either game edition gets you a free month of GTA+ redeemable instantly, which unlocks GTA Online along with the GTA+ Games Library — a rotating selection that includes Grand Theft Auto V and other classic Rockstar titles. That's a software subscription perk tied to the game pre-order, not something the merchandise store provides.

If you're also curious about the official in-game soundtrack release, that's a third separate product again. Rockstar's own store already lists Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album with a "Pre-Order Now" button, though no price is shown yet — our guide to Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album's tracklist and vinyl editions covers what Rockstar has confirmed there.

6. Tips Before You Buy

A few practical notes if you're weighing a purchase:

  • Treat the box as a display piece, not a game purchase. If your goal is simply to play GTA VI at launch, the $399.99 box adds nothing toward that — you still need a separate Standard or Ultimate Edition pre-order.
  • Watch stock closely. Individual apparel items have already gone in and out of stock since the collection opened, and the collector's box itself is pre-order only with no confirmed restock policy.
  • Check your region before ordering. With shipping limited to around 30 countries, confirm your country is supported before you commit, especially for the more expensive collector's box.
  • Expect the lineup to grow. Rockstar has explicitly said the standing apparel collection isn't final, so new items are likely to appear between now and the November 19 launch — and potentially after.

Quick Recap

  • The $399.99 Goodtime State – Vice City Collection box ships November 19, 2026, with 11 Leonida-themed items — and no copy of the game.
  • A separate, ongoing Grand Theft Auto VI Collection sells individual apparel ($29.99–$39.99) through the Rockstar Store, with more items promised over time.
  • Both are exclusive to store.rockstargames.com, with shipping currently limited to roughly 30 countries.
  • Neither purchase substitutes for pre-ordering the actual Standard or Ultimate Edition of the game.
