Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override: Every Mythic Weapon and Boss Location Explained

Quick Summary

Chapter 7 Season 4: Override ties nearly every Mythic weapon to a named boss or event instead of random map spawns. Here's where to find the 8-Bit Shotgun, Enhanced Assault Rifle, Midas' Masterpiece, Rebecca's Guns, and the Fortnitemares-exclusive weapons added this season.

Fortnite's Chapter 7 Season 4, subtitled Override, leans harder into crossover gaming nostalgia than almost any season before it, and that extends to its loot pool. Instead of a long list of Mythic weapons scattered across the map, this season ties each Mythic to a specific boss or event, which makes them easier to track down once you know where to look. Here's where every confirmed Mythic weapon comes from, what it does, and how the Fortnitemares event has added even more to hunt for.

1. What Override Changed About Mythic Weapons

Override's core gameplay hook is the Override Console: a server-wide rule-changer that squads can activate after fighting their way to one. Capturing an Override Console or a rarer Squad Override grants the whole squad a temporary edge, but it also broadcasts that squad's position to everyone else on the island, so claiming one is a risk as much as a reward.

Mythic weapons sit alongside that system as a smaller, more curated pool than Chapter 7 Season 3 had. Rather than dozens of possible Mythic drops, Season 4 concentrates them on a handful of named bosses plus one roaming Rift Anomaly, so if you learn the short list below you've effectively learned the entire season's Mythic loot table.

That smaller pool is a deliberate trade-off. Because Override is built around gaming-legend crossovers — Sonic, Mega Man, Persona 5's Joker and more all have a presence on the island this season — Epic tied each Mythic to a specific character encounter instead of spreading generic weapons around at random. It means fewer total Mythics are in rotation at once, but every one of them is attached to a memorable fight or a named location, which makes them far easier to plan a route around than a purely random loot table would be.

2. 8-Bit Shotgun — Dr. Eggman's Mythic

Sonic the Hedgehog's Green Hill Zone was rebuilt as a full point of interest for this season, loops, checkered cliffs, Rings and all, and Dr. Eggman is the boss guarding it. He doesn't stand still waiting for a fight; multiple guides describe him patrolling the Green Hill Zone area in his Egg Mobile hovercraft, which makes him faster to spot from a distance but also easier to lose if you don't commit to the chase.

Eliminating Eggman is the confirmed way to get the Mythic 8-Bit Shotgun, a retro-styled hitscan shotgun built around the Robotnik/Eggman aesthetic. Bring enough ammunition before you engage; reporting on the fight consistently describes Eggman as manageable once you learn his pattern, but he can shrug off a few stray shots if you're not landing clean hits.

3. Enhanced Assault Rifle — Hush's Mythic

Hush, the hooded Chapter 2-era Outfit turned Season 4 boss, has been spotted most often roaming the Battlewood area of the map. Taking Hush down drops the Mythic Enhanced Assault Rifle, an upgraded take on the standard AR with tightened spread and bonus damage over the stock version.

Because Hush isn't tied to a single fixed structure the way some past bosses were, treat any Battlewood landing as a possible Hush encounter and come prepared for a mid-range rifle fight rather than a close-quarters ambush.

4. Midas' Masterpiece Pistol — The Rift Anomaly Mythic

Not every Mythic this season comes from a boss fight. Midas' Masterpiece, a high-damage Mythic pistol, spawns from a golden Rift Anomaly that appears at a random location each match rather than guarding a POI. Keep an eye out for the telltale gold rift effect on your screen as you rotate; it's a faster, lower-risk way to grab a Mythic than hunting down a boss, provided you reach it before another squad does.

5. Rebecca's Guns — The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mythic

Season 4's biggest licensed weapon addition arrived with the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration, which added the Lucy Outfit to the Item Shop alongside a dual-wield Mythic called Rebecca's Guns. True to the anime character it's modeled after, it pairs a submachine gun that can bounce bullets off surfaces with an assault rifle that fires exploding rounds.

The Mythic version drops from the boss Adam Smasher, who can be found in and around the Geno's Machine Landmark area. He hits hard at range, so don't challenge him without full shields and a backup weapon. Unlike the other Mythics on this list, Rebecca's Guns can also turn up as ordinary floor loot or chest loot at lower rarities, starting around Uncommon and climbing toward Legendary, and it can be upgraded further using Sprite Dust at an Extraction Site if you want to push a lucky early pickup toward Mythic without ever finding Adam Smasher.

The collaboration didn't stop at the Mythic. Lucy's Monowire — a melee weapon that doubles as a grapple tool, pulled straight from her signature anime move set — arrived as part of the same update, giving players a mobility option to pair with Rebecca's Guns instead of relying purely on building to close distance. Lucy's Outfit itself ships with two selectable styles: her default look from the anime, and a variant referencing David Martinez's jacket, which is a detail worth knowing if you're trying to confirm you've got the real collaboration cosmetic rather than a reskin.

6. Fortnitemares Weapons: Freddy's Nightmare and the Dual Fiend Hunters

On top of the season's core Mythic lineup, the Fortnitemares 2026 event folded a Five Nights at Freddy's crossover into Override, bringing animatronic-themed event weapons like Freddy's Nightmare and the Dual Fiend Hunters into the loot pool alongside Freddy Krueger and Slenderman cosmetic content. These aren't full Mythics, but they're exclusive to the event and worth grabbing while Fortnitemares is live.

Epic also pushed a stability update on October 6 that touched both items: Freddy's Nightmare had its movement speed and stamina cost adjusted, and the Dual Fiend Hunters got an accuracy improvement while aiming down sights. If either weapon felt off in your first few matches with it, that patch is why — give them another look now.

7. Quick Tips for Hunting Season 4 Mythics

  • Land with a plan. Each boss has a known general area — Green Hill Zone for Eggman, Battlewood for Hush, Geno's Machine Landmark for Adam Smasher — so decide which Mythic you want before you jump from the Battle Bus.
  • Don't ignore gold rifts. Midas' Masterpiece is the only Mythic that doesn't require a boss fight, so a random Rift Anomaly sighting can be the easiest Mythic of the match.
  • Save Sprite Dust. If you pick up a low-rarity Rebecca's Guns as floor loot, an Extraction Site visit can upgrade it without ever crossing paths with Adam Smasher.
  • Bring shields before engaging any boss. All four named bosses hit harder than standard AI enemies, and a fight with no shield is a fight you're likely to lose.

That's the full Mythic weapon lineup for Chapter 7 Season 4 so far: four boss- or rift-tied Mythics from Override itself, plus two event-exclusive weapons riding along with Fortnitemares.
