EA Sports FC 27 Season 2: FC Heritage — Release Date, Ladder Rewards and FUT Gallery Expansion Explained
EA Sports FC 27's Ultimate Team Season 2, FC Heritage, launched October 22, 2026 as Season 1 ended. Here's the Legendary Ladder rewards, the new Daily Knockout Tournament, the five-event Heritage Circuit, and the FUT Gallery's biggest expansion yet.
EA Sports FC 27's second Ultimate Team season is live. Season 2: FC Heritage launched on October 22, 2026, the same day Season 1 wrapped up, and it trades the launch season's new-signings focus for a nostalgia-driven celebration of Ultimate Team history. Here's everything officially confirmed: when it started, what's in the Legendary Ladder, the new Daily Knockout Tournament, the five-event Heritage Circuit, and the FUT Gallery's biggest expansion since launch.
1. When Season 2: FC Heritage Started
EA confirmed Season 2 on its official EA Sports FC 27 news page on October 22, 2026, publishing it as Season 1 came to a close the same day. That means any Season 1 Pass progress, Rivals placement and unclaimed Season 1 rewards are now locked to that season, while every new FC Heritage reward sits on a fresh Season 2 track starting from Level 1.
2. What Is FC Heritage?
Per EA's official description, Season 2 is a season-long celebration of Football Ultimate Team nostalgia. Rather than chasing the newest in-form cards, FC Heritage leans on community favorites, long-running squad staples and past FUT campaigns. The FC Heritage Player Items themselves are inspired by the Hall of FUT, and EA frames them as an "honorable mention" for players behind memorable FUT items and moments — including some still-active players who could join the Hall of FUT proper down the line.
In practice, that means the season's rewards skew toward familiar, well-loved names rather than the usual crop of in-season breakout stars, with a visual theme (bronze, weathered card frames) to match the "heritage" branding.
The Hall of FUT framing is worth explaining for anyone newer to Ultimate Team: it's the series' running honor roll for items and moments the community rates as genuinely memorable, separate from the week-to-week churn of in-form cards. Building a season around it signals that FC Heritage is meant as a retrospective, not a preview of what's coming next in the competitive meta — closer in spirit to a "best of" collection than a typical promo built around a single real-world event.
3. The Legendary Season 2 Ladder: Standard and Premium Rewards
The core progression system is the Legendary Season 2 Ladder, split into a free Standard Ladder and a paid Premium Pass track, each running up to Level 30. EA says up to 16 FC Heritage Player Items are obtainable across the two tracks.
- Standard Ladder: confirmed rewards include Botafogo's Allan and Manchester United's Fridolina Rolfö, with the free track capping out at Level 30 with Charlotte FC's Allan Saint-Maximin.
- Premium Pass: confirmed rewards include Abha's Nabil Fekir and Real Madrid's Athenea, with the paid track's Level 30 reward set as Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.
- Other ladder rewards: retro Ultimate Scream card shells, themed Evolutions, and standard Pack rewards are mixed in alongside the Player Items on both tracks.
EA also notes that FC Heritage rewards aren't locked to the ladder alone — further Heritage Player Items and content are earned through the separate Season Pass, Live Events, and other themed activities running across the season.
4. The Daily Knockout Tournament
FC Heritage also brings back the Daily Knockout Tournament, a PvP knockout competition that runs weekly for the length of the season. It's a straightforward single-elimination format rather than the usual Rivals/Champions grind, and EA confirms weekly rewards include an FC Heritage Player Item on top of Coins and untradeable Packs. Since it resets weekly, it's one of the more reliable ways to chip away at the Heritage card pool outside the ladder.
5. The FC Heritage Circuit: Five Single-Player Events
For players who'd rather earn rewards offline, EA has built the FC Heritage Circuit, a sequence of five Single Player Live Events that unlock one after another as you progress. Each stop hands out FC Heritage Player Items, Coins and untradeable Packs:
- Kick Off Event — players choose their own difficulty to start the Circuit.
- Ultimate Scream — set at Semi-Pro difficulty.
- Hall of FUT: Unleashed — set at Professional difficulty.
- Thunderstruck — set at World Class difficulty.
- Final — a three-round tournament that climbs from Professional through World Class and finishes on a Legendary-difficulty final.
The escalating difficulty curve mirrors how EA has structured past single-player FUT campaigns, giving a clear on-ramp for newer players at Kick Off before the difficulty spikes toward the Legendary final. Because each stage unlocks only after the previous one is cleared, the Circuit works best treated as a standing to-do list across the season rather than something to binge in one sitting — there's no indication from EA that the five events are themselves time-limited within the season, unlike the weekly-reset Knockout Tournament above.
6. FUT Gallery's Biggest Expansion Yet
Alongside the Heritage-specific content, EA is using Season 2 to significantly grow the FUT Gallery, the collection system introduced at launch where submitting completed item Sets raises your Gallery Level and unlocks further rewards. EA describes this update as the Gallery's biggest expansion since release, adding over 60 new Sets, including new League and Club Sets built around MLS, NWSL and the Roshn Saudi League specifically.
For players who already built out a Season 1 Gallery, the MLS, NWSL and Roshn Saudi League Sets are effectively a new, parallel collection to chase — useful if your existing Sets are close to maxed out and you want fresh Gallery Level progress without relying purely on Heritage packs.
Because Gallery Level rewards aren't tied to a single season's ladder, submitting toward these new Sets is one of the few FC Heritage-adjacent systems with no expiry pressure attached — there's no equivalent of a Season 1 Pass cutoff here, so it's reasonable to work through the new Sets at whatever pace fits around the time-limited Knockout Tournament and Heritage Circuit content.
7. What Happens to Your Season 1 Progress
Because Season 1 ended the same day FC Heritage began, any Season 1 Pass levels you hadn't claimed, your Rivals Division placement for that season, and incomplete Season 1 Objectives or Live Events are now closed out — the Season Pass track resets to Level 1 for Season 2. Items, Coins and player cards you already own carry over as normal, since none of that is season-locked; it's specifically the season-scoped progression trackers (Pass levels, that season's Rivals placement, that season's unfinished Objectives) that don't roll forward. If you were sitting on unclaimed Season 1 Pass levels, there's no catch-up mechanism for those now that Season 2 has started.
