Quick Summary

Fortnite Crew now costs $11.99 a month and bundles five different passes across Fortnite and Rocket League, but the V-Bucks grant was quietly cut from 1,000 to 800 in June 2026. Here's exactly what the subscription includes, how billing and cancellation work, and whether it's still worth it.

Fortnite Crew is Epic Games' monthly subscription for Battle Royale, and it quietly changed shape over the past few months — the V-Bucks grant got smaller, the list of bundled passes got longer, and a new Crew Pack lands every few weeks tied to whatever season or event is currently live. With Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override" and Fortnitemares 2026 both running right now, here's exactly what the subscription costs, what it includes, and whether it still makes sense to keep paying for it.

1. What Fortnite Crew Actually Is

Fortnite Crew is Epic's all-access subscription for the Fortnite ecosystem. Instead of buying a single season's Battle Pass for V-Bucks, Crew is a recurring monthly charge that keeps every current pass unlocked for as long as the subscription stays active, plus a chunk of V-Bucks and an exclusive cosmetic set every month. It launched back in Chapter 2 as a Battle Pass-plus-V-Bucks bundle and has been expanded multiple times since, most recently to fold in passes from Fortnite's other modes rather than just Battle Royale.

It auto-renews every month until you cancel it, billed through whichever storefront you subscribed on (Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store, Xbox, Nintendo eShop, or mobile), and the price and included content can vary slightly by platform.

2. How Much Fortnite Crew Costs

Fortnite Crew is priced at $11.99 USD a month in the United States, with regional equivalents elsewhere — for example £9.99 in the UK. It's a standard recurring subscription: you're charged on the same date every month until you cancel, the same way a Netflix or Spotify subscription works. There's no option to pay a one-time fee for a single month's content outside of that recurring billing cycle, and no annual discount — it's month to month.

Because the subscription includes a direct V-Bucks grant, it's worth comparing the sticker price to how much V-Bucks alone would cost at retail before judging the value, which the in-game economy around Ranked rewards and cosmetic unlocks also feeds into — V-Bucks earned or granted can go toward Battle Pass tiers, the Item Shop, or Save the World content.

3. What's Included Every Month

This is where Crew has grown the most since launch. An active subscription currently unlocks:

  • The current Battle Royale Battle Pass — right now that's Chapter 7 Season 4, "Override," headlined by Sonic the Hedgehog with Tails as an unlockable Sidekick.
  • The OG Pass, Fortnite's separate pass for the nostalgia-focused OG mode.
  • The LEGO Pass, covering LEGO Fortnite's seasonal content.
  • The Music Pass, for Fortnite Festival's rhythm-game progression track.
  • Rocket League's Rocket Pass Premium, extending the subscription's value outside Fortnite entirely into Epic's other major live-service game.

In practice that means one monthly charge keeps every premium track across Epic's current live games unlocked, rather than buying each pass separately with V-Bucks. If you only play Battle Royale and ignore Festival, LEGO Fortnite, and Rocket League, you're still paying for passes you won't touch — which matters for the value math later in this guide.

The Battle Pass You're Currently Unlocking

As of this Battle Pass cycle, Crew subscribers are working through Override, the Chapter 7 Season 4 pass built around a "break the rules" theme: Override Consoles that let whoever reaches them first change server-wide rules, rarer Squad Override pickups, and a wave of crossover cosmetics from franchises including Kingdom Hearts, Pac-Man, Mega Man, and Persona 5 Royal rotating through the Item Shop across the season. 4. The V-Bucks Grant — and the Cut That Happened in June

Every active month of Crew grants a set amount of V-Bucks automatically deposited into your account. That grant used to be 1,000 V-Bucks a month. Starting with subscriptions renewing on or after June 6, 2026, Epic reduced the monthly grant to 800 V-Bucks, without lowering the $11.99 price to match. The change applied automatically to existing subscribers at their next renewal rather than as a one-time notice, and it drew visible frustration from the community at the time since it was a quiet reduction in value for the same monthly charge.

800 V-Bucks is still enough to cover most of a single Battle Pass purchase on its own (Battle Passes are typically priced well under 1,000 V-Bucks), so the grant alone offsets a meaningful chunk of the subscription cost even after the cut — just not as much as it used to.

5. The Monthly Crew Pack

Alongside the passes and V-Bucks, every month brings an exclusive Crew Pack: a themed outfit plus matching extras — typically a Back Bling, a Pickaxe, and sometimes a Wrap or Emote — that isn't sold separately in the Item Shop while the subscription is active. These packs usually lean into whatever's happening in the game at the time; a Halloween-adjacent theme around Fortnitemares is typical for the October pack, for instance. Crew Packs are exclusive for as long as you keep an active subscription for that month — once you unlock one, it stays in your locker permanently even if you cancel afterward.

6. Billing, Renewal and Cancellation

Fortnite Crew renews automatically every month until it's cancelled, and the charge happens on the same calendar date you first subscribed. A few practical rules to know before signing up or cancelling:

  • Cancelling mid-season doesn't take anything away immediately. If you cancel partway through a month you've already paid for, you keep access to that season's content — including Battle Pass progression — through the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Cosmetics you've already unlocked are yours permanently. Crew Pack skins and anything claimed through the bundled Battle Passes stay in your account after you cancel; only future unlocks stop.
  • Manage it through whichever store you subscribed on — Epic Games Store, console storefront, or mobile app store — not in-game, since Fortnite itself doesn't process the billing directly.

7. Is Fortnite Crew Worth It Right Now?

The honest answer depends entirely on how many of Epic's games you actually play. For someone deep into Battle Royale who also dips into Festival, LEGO Fortnite, or Rocket League, stacking five premium passes under one $11.99 charge is a clear discount versus buying each with V-Bucks individually — and the 800 V-Bucks grant alone claws back most of that monthly fee. For a player who logs in purely for Battle Royale and never touches the other modes, you're effectively paying full price to unlock passes you'll never use, which makes a straight Battle Pass purchase with earned or purchased V-Bucks the cheaper option.

It's also worth weighing against where you already spend money in the Fortnite ecosystem: if you're a Zero Build player chasing Ranked progress rather than cosmetics, the subscription's main pull is the V-Bucks and Crew Pack rather than the pass itself, since Ranked rewards aren't gated behind Crew. Players who care more about crossover cosmetics — like the Sonic the Hedgehog content running through Override — get more direct value out of the monthly Crew Pack and Battle Pass combination.

Quick Recap

  • Fortnite Crew costs $11.99/month in the US (regional pricing varies) and auto-renews until cancelled.
  • It currently bundles the Battle Royale Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass, Music Pass, and Rocket League's Rocket Pass Premium.
  • The monthly V-Bucks grant was cut from 1,000 to 800 starting with renewals on June 6, 2026, with no price change.
  • Every month adds an exclusive Crew Pack (outfit plus extras) not sold separately in the Item Shop.
  • Cancelling preserves everything already unlocked and lets the current paid period run out before access ends.
