1. What Is Vesna's Patrol Mission?

Vesna's Patrol Mission is a social-media participation event that HoYoverse launched on its official Genshin Impact accounts on September 24, 2026, and it runs until October 4, 2026 at 23:59 (UTC+8). It is not an in-game quest — you take part entirely through X (formerly Twitter), Facebook or Instagram, and the reward is a redemption code you then enter into the game.

The event is themed around Vesna, the new 5-star Anemo Sword character who debuted in the Version 7.1 Phase 1 banner, and her promotional line "It's patrol time~ Tap-tap-tap-tap! Let's see... any fun stuff around?"

2. How to Take Part and Claim Your Code

The exact steps depend on which platform you use:

• On X: Open the official event post from @GenshinImpact, watch the full event video, then click the on-screen button to repost it.
• On Facebook or Instagram: Comment on the official event post, and make sure your comment includes the hashtag #VesnasPatrolMission.

Every Traveler who completes the steps correctly receives a code good for Primogems ×40, Hero's Wit ×3 and Mora ×20,000. That code stays redeemable until October 22, 2026 at 23:59 (UTC+8), so there is no need to rush the redemption itself once you have it — just don't miss the October 4 cutoff for taking part.

HoYoverse is also running a bonus prize draw alongside the guaranteed reward: 100 participants will be picked at random to receive an extra 160 Primogems, with winners announced on October 14, 2026. A few restrictions are worth knowing before you enter: only one prize can be claimed per Traveler, winners have to submit the correct in-game UID within the stated window or forfeit the reward, and HoYoverse has said it will not reissue prizes lost to a wrong UID. Keep your linked social account public until the draw closes, since a locked or renamed profile can affect eligibility checks.

5. The Bigger Picture: Version 7.1 and the Sixth Anniversary

All of this is happening because Genshin Impact just launched Version 7.1, "A Rekviem for the Underworld," on September 23, 2026. The update pushes the Snezhnaya storyline forward through two new Archon Quest acts, "White Night, Like a Dream Upon Waking" and "A Rekviem for the Underworld," in which the Traveler finally comes face to face with the Tsaritsa and the true scope of her plan to collect the Gnoses. For the first time, players who finish the new Archon Quest content can pick one event-exclusive 5-star character for free from a select lineup.

Phase 1 of the update, running from September 23 to October 13, introduced two new playable 5-star characters: Vesna, an Anemo Sword commander who converts Cryo Swirl reactions into Stellar Swirl reactions and fights by summoning Spirit Blades, and Vodyanitsa, a Hydro catalyst user built around healing and support. Their signature weapons, the sword Beyond the Chrysalis and the catalyst Hymn of the Maelstrom, are featured on the same banners. Phase 2 then runs October 13 through November 3 and brings back the 5-star units Skirk and Escoffier on rerun banners.

Version 7.1 also carries Genshin Impact's sixth anniversary celebration, which lands on September 28, 2026. • Do the Patrol Mission steps on whichever platform you already have an account for — there's no extra reward for doing it on more than one, since only one prize is allowed per Traveler.
