Therefore, their eyes are on you because you, as a park ranger, are good at finding clues and investigating complicated cases.

So, embark on an epic journey and start investigating the case to find out what’s going on with these disappearances while finding answers to questions that have been tormented for several years. The game is designed by the developers of Meridian 157, a perfect mix of point-and-click and puzzle game elements. In this Point-and-click adventure, you experience an environment taking place in the year 1981 in a small West Virginian Town known as Aurora Hills, following the story of Ethan Hill. When playing the game, your job is to search for clues when exploring the rolling hills of West Virginia to find the whereabouts of the missing people and solve tricky puzzles to reveal the secrets.

Aurora Hills – Chapter 1 Walkthrough

Playing puzzle games is usually tough, especially when you don’t know what to find next. Therefore, you should rely on your detective skills and guess the next items you need to solve the puzzle based on the earlier items you obtained. Prepare for Work – Task 1

• First, check the desk to make sure everything is in its place. The camera is among the papers and stationary.
• Leave through the door into the hallway and go right to the bathroom, where you can freshen up before starting your day.
• On the shower curtain rod hangs your ranger uniform. Please put it on.
• Once dressed, head back downstairs to get ready for your day.
• Tap lightly on the cushion to the right of the couch. This will reveal car keys that have been hidden there for safekeeping.
• In the kitchen on the left, there’s an energy bar waiting for you on the table that will give you a quick boost of energy to start your day off right.
• Before leaving, take a second to look in the storage closet on your right; that’s where your photo album is. There are a lot of memories in there waiting to be revisited.
• With everything set, step outside and head towards your car; it’s time for today’s adventures!
• Unlock the car door with a key and get into the driver’s seat; it’s time to begin the journey toward work.
• Inside the cabin, check the exclamation mark in the corner for tasks and make sure you’re prepared for the rest of the day.

Make coffee – Task 2

• Go over to the far left door and grab the coffee pot sitting on the desk; this will start your morning routine just fine.
• Go back out into the main area and inspect the desk on the left where all tools for making morning brew are located.
• Open the red pencil case and remove the tweezers necessary for upcoming tasks.
• Now, walk over towards the right side of the main area and pass through the opened wall, which leads us into the designated coffee station.
• Check the cupboard above the left desk here and gather needed supplies for the making process, such as beans or filters, etc.
• Approach the coffee machine stationed at the other desk and prepare it by putting in water, etc, so that brewing can commence
• While the coffee pot fills up, suddenly fax machine beeps, causing a power surge that interrupts the morning calm for a moment.
• When leaving the coffee room, take a glance at the astrology map glowing on the wall; memorize symbols for later use
• Go back to the first office, where we found a coffee pot and interact with a locked cabinet decorated with zodiac signs.
• Unlock the cabinet by inputting the correct sequence of movements, making sure to follow each step exactly as instructed.
• Take the flashlight and hairpin out from inside (note chart), then close the door again – these may come in handy later on.
• Head back into the main area, then fix a broken lock on the door near the window using tweezers & hairpin together (or separately)
• Open door requires delicate manipulation of mechanism, so be careful while following provided instructions closely at all times when necessary; otherwise won’t work right away, etc.
• Once inside, investigate the right wall where a piece of screwdriver with a cryptic drawing lies waiting for attention.
• Locate the screwdriver’s missing piece and a tubular key inside the drawer. The latter is needed for the next step.
• Go back to the electric panel and use the tubular key to open it. Address the faulty fuse in order to restore its functionality.
• Walk over to the telephone booth outside and get what you need for repairs.
• After restoring power successfully, go down the stairs and check on the panel on the left. Make sure that everything is complete and operational with this system, too.
• With everything in order, go into the basement and make a report of missing persons. Take pictures for further investigation.
• Repeat this process with all reports found throughout the area. Do not miss any details.
• Before leaving, turn on the fax machine again so that any messages meant for you will be printed out.

Meet up with Jen – Task 3

• Return to the basement where the safe is located. Look at the red symbols above the code.
• Rearrange pictures from the board to match locations people disappeared from.
• Once locations are matched, input numbers of each shape into the safe, which will unlock it, giving keys to the ranger truck as per Jen’s instructions
• Open Ranger Truck using those keys after going outside then prepare yourself for meeting up with Jen!
• Before leaving, take a momentary break and look at the map on the left; gather extra information helpful for today’s activities if any such thing exists thereon.
• Explore near the map; find an amethyst gemstone & park info in valuable boxes nearby.
• Ascend the stairs into the house, readying yourself for the next phase of the day’s tasks.

Search For Jen’s Note – Task 4

• Direct attention towards the glass case under the window on the right-hand side; focus on the lock made up of tiles
• Solve tile puzzle unlocking case, thereby revealing knife plus black gemstone within it.
• Keep exploring the room, checking right side drawers; the last one bottom row, contains agate gemstone.
• Inspect prints on drawers, taking note of what they might be telling you
• Go outside to the mailbox; use the knife to open the parcel and take out the magnetic dart plus string
• Assemble darts & utilizing using the symbol of the tool, thus readying them for upcoming tasks
• Explore the area close to the stairs, finding the storm drain grill on the right side
• Use a lantern in the illuminating area, then use a string dart to retrieve gift shop keys hidden down below
• Return indoors and collect pyrite with bunny from the glass case before investigating where the fox case is located
• Unlock the door using keys gotten earlier, then proceed inside
• Examine the cash register at left, noting the color code hint provided
• Collect crystal from countertop center before getting furnace handle from box floor right
• Use the handle in accessing furnace door and retrieve the topaz from inside
• Look over the table next to the window. Then, put each jewel in its assigned spot based on the shapes they left behind.
• Study each jewel’s position according to the order on the cash register.
• Please enter the code into the cash register and open it to get some coins and a toy disc.
• Investigate around the window area and interact with the red toy for more clues.
• Use animals scattered around the cabin to decipher code for the staff room door. Make sure you get every number right.
• Go into the staff room and read a note from Jen sitting on the desk. Gather any other information that might be useful for today’s tasks.

Meet up with Jen – Task 5

• Leave the cabin and venture along the trail to the left in search of Jen, delving deeper into the woods until you encounter a trash bin.
• Ascend the stairs and proceed straight ahead until you reach the picnic tables. Please take note of the scratched numbers etched into the table, storing them for later reference.
• Double back and follow the trail to the left, taking a moment to read the sign adorning the nearby tree, committing the displayed numbers to memory.
• Continue onward towards the bathrooms, opting to explore the left trail first. Take note of the numbers inscribed upon the bench before retracing your steps and exploring the right trail.
• Upon arrival at the shack situated to the right, please take a moment to examine the drawing adorning its exterior.
• Return to the picnic tables and utilize the code obtained from the table’s numbers to unlock the toolbox. Retrieve the pliers from within before proceeding to the water pump to procure the hose.
• Inside the shack, utilize the pliers to extract the hex key before engaging in the puzzle-solving endeavor at the trash bin.
• Unlock the bathroom door using the washroom keys and inspect the paper towel, deciphering any odd patterns present.
• Utilize the symbols found within the shack to unlock the corresponding lock, granting access to the crowbar and ladder stored inside.
• Utilize the crowbar to open the wooden door covering the water system in the bathroom. Arrange the pipes correctly to ensure the smooth flow of water.
• Head to the sink and utilize the hose to fill the watering can with water, preparing for the forthcoming tasks.
• Inspect the toilet, read any notes left behind, and gather pertinent information for the day’s activities.
• Utilize the crowbar to detach the pipe connected to the toilet and utilize the flashlight to peer inside.
• Refer to the photo located by the windowsill, following the indicated path to progress to the next stage of the day’s endeavors.

Head into Forest – Task 6

• Head to the picnic area and retrieve the ladder. Use it to ascend and carefully extract the battery from the bug repellant hanging high in the tree.
• Please move to the bathroom and connect the battery to the flashlight, restoring its functionality for further use.
• Utilize the flashlight to illuminate the interior of the pipe. Pour water down the pipe, coaxing the submerged compass to the surface. Retrieve the compass and use it to navigate through the dense forest ahead.
• Depart from the shack and employ the compass to guide your path, following the trail to the right. Ensure all necessary preparations are complete before proceeding deeper into the forest, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
