You would be excited to know about the return of Haiku Games with a new adventure, “Vanishing Act,” in their long-running series Adventure Escape Mysteries. Once again, you will see Kate Gray in action, along with her companion Murphy. After a long time, they get enough time to spend a night together having funds, so they decide to go and watch a great magic show.
But things won’t go as decided. Undoubtedly, the magic show is fully loaded with surprises, but on the spot, something goes wrong, and no one knows what will come out. I mean, upon investigating, only Murphy knows what he finds. The story starts with Murphy’s wallet, which goes missing during the magic show. Besides, this walkthrough guide will help you figure out clues and hidden objects and solve puzzles only if you get stuck anywhere in Vanishing Act – Chapter 2.
Adventure Escape Mysteries Walkthrough – Vanishing Act: Chapter 2
- Following the address printed on the card, both characters have reached their destination. Choose the Membership Card from your inventory and show it to the bouncer. Next, he will ask you to show the trick that you must figure out at any cost to get access to the Café.
- There’s a panel on the right side that you must open to unravel the rusted and stuck water valve. On the fountain, a woman is playing the saxophone, and you should interact with her to get help. The girl will help you if you get her a drink.
- So, you need to open the saxophone case near the fountain and obtain the Oil from there. Go to the rusted water valve and use the Oil over there to lubricate it. Rotate the valve to stop the water flow through the fountain.
- Tap the fountain to zoom in and search for coins at the bottom. Now, look for the vending machine available on the left side near the bouncer. Go and insert all coins into the machine and buy a Cherry Cola, but you don’t know what the number is because it is peeled off. So, you need to use your detective skills and figure out the number to bring the cola down.
- To figure out the code, you have to guess the first row has numbers in a sequence like 1, 2, and 3. Similarly, the second row has its sequence, but it is multiplied by two, which means the missing number could be 106. The third row has a sequence with the addition of 3. Therefore, we can guess the number should be 121 after adding 3 to 118. So, to get the Cherry Cola for the woman, you have to enter #121.
- Obtain the Cherry Cola from the machine and give it to the musician to know a trick that requires you to pull a bird out of the hat. Afterward, an old lady will come out and say shut up.
- The old lady is on her Terus, holding an object with both hands. Luckily, the old lady is familiar with Murphy because he saved her cat. After talking, she complains to you about pigeons and may give you seeds to get them away.
- Now, select the seeds from your panel and put them on the ground to let pigeons move away from the window. Next, interact with the window to get a hat and use it to catch the pigeon.
- The time has come to interact with the bouncer and show him the pigeon in the hat to get access to the club.
Inspect the Smoke and Mirrors Café
You are welcome to the Smoke and Mirrors Café, where you need to search for Gail and find hidden objects to solve tricky puzzles. The driver’s License of Murphy is still missing, and Kate must struggle to bring it back. On the Stage, both characters bump into Harry, and he reveals that Gail was in the Dressing Room and disappeared. Now, once again, go to Harry, who asks you to visit the VIP Room behind the curtain to find Gail. Again, he disappears from the spot.
- You must move the curtain aside to discover a door that is locked. There’s a scanner where you must scan Gail’s membership card. Try to lighten up the heart and find three missing cards with other symbols.
- Inspect the floor to get two napkins, and the third is on the table. Before leaving the table, don’t forget to see the Star Signs Chart. Upon inspecting, you may come to know that Kate is Virgo, while Murphy is a Taurus.
- Meanwhile, interact with the Diamond Magician on the right side and try to solve the card puzzle to get her help.
- To solve the Card Puzzle, you have to choose the card from the bottom and then try to match it with the glowing yellow card’s suit or number. Get all available cards and end up the game on the Queen of Hearts.
- Go and talk to the Magician and fulfill his requirement of purchasing him a drink. Head to the bartender and request a drink, which he may refuse, saying he’s had too many already. Meanwhile, he told you something about the Magician who continuously stuffed up the toilet with napkins.
Go to the Stage and Visit the Bathroom
- Now, an idea comes to your partner’s mind: How do you distract the bartender for a drink? After ending the conversation, go upstairs on the left side to visit the Stage and open the bathroom door to pick up two napkins from the table.
- Select all five napkins from your panel and drop them off in the toilet. Soon, the bartender appears to collect napkins, and that’s the right point to get a key from his belt.
- Go and talk to both people sitting at tables to get information. Upon interacting with the woman, you come to know that she needs a want for her audition, and the man needs you to prove himself to be the best Magician before stepping in to help you.
- Select the keys you grabbed from the bartender’s belt to open the glass case available on the left side under the Smoke and Mirrors board to obtain a wand for the woman.
- Now, choose the want and give it to the nervous Magician. Soon, the woman goes to the Stage for her audition while the spade magician leaves his seat to watch. Grab the menu from the table and inspect it to get clues.
- Return to the bar and interact with the Club Magician. This time, Murphy is behind the desk to mix the drink, but he needs your help to make a perfect combination of your choice for the Magician. Did you know? The Magician needs a bubbly drink with two shots of liquor in it.
- Inspect the menu in your panel and search for the drink with two parts of rum, along with carbonation. And the drink you are looking for is VOODOO Doll.
- Now, your ultimate goal is to mix the drink by choosing rum twice, along with Orange Juice and Ginger Ale. Discover a glass next to the Magician, choose the glass, and put some ice cubes in it.
- Soon, the Magician will lose consciousness, and you get an opportunity to grab him by searching his pocket. Obtain the tokens and the club card; meanwhile, check out the phone and unlock it to read messages.
- Next, you come to know that the Club Magician was in contact with Atticus Trevorrow—Notice Atticus’s date of birth, which is on Mar 08.
- Head to the table to see the Star Signs Chart again and find the star according to the date, which is Pisces.
- Visit the Stage and use the fortune-telling machine by inserting the token and hitting the button “Pisces.” Keep your eyes on the lines and figure out the words, such as Four, Eight, and Dozen.
- Tap the Spade Magician briefcase near the table and set the passcode (4812) to unlock it for the Spade Card.
- Go downstairs and tap the VIP Door to unlock it by setting the cards there in the correct order, like Club, Diamond, and Spade, while the heart is already there.
- Someone has reset the lock, and it requires recalibration. You need to fill the grid with eye shapes, and each eye should come with matching symbols.
- Enter the VIP Room and talk to Gail, who turns into Kate’s sister, Allie.
