1. Go for Big Combos First

You’ll be solving puzzles most of the time, so understand them deep down. You can match three, four, and five tiles to score and finish the round. Matching three tiles is the easiest while matching four or five tiles is difficult, but it can create combos. These combos also provide you with power-ups. These puzzles have no time limit, so take your time and analyze the puzzle.

Check for any possible combos and match those tiles to get power-ups. This way, you can finish the objective in the given moves and get a high score. 2. Use Boosters

• Firecracker – You need to match four tiles in a square to get the firecracker booster. Using the firecracker will destroy all the available pieces in a ‘+’ pattern.
• Rockets – If four tiles are in the same line, whether horizontal or vertical, you can match them to get the rocket booster. The result of this booster depends on the position of the tiles. If the tiles are vertical, it will clear a row. If the tiles are horizontal, it will clear a column.
• Bombs – Bombs are pretty powerful compared to the first two boosters. To get this booster, you need to match five tiles in a T or L shape. When you use this booster, it will destroy tiles in a 3 x 3 pattern.
• Rainbow – This booster is similar to the previous booster as you have to match five tiles, but they need to be in a horizontal or vertical manner. Just swap the rainbow booster with the desired tile, and it will remove all those tiles from the puzzle. You can also match it with boosters to get them on the puzzle and use them all.

Pair boosters to increase their effectiveness. Pair a bomb with a rocket to clear three lines horizontally or vertically. This can increase their effectiveness to a great extent. One of the best boosters is matching two rainbows. This will clear the complete whole board once.

3. Avoid tools

• Scissors – Use the scissor tool to remove a single space from the puzzle board without wasting a move.
• Perfume – Use the perfume to clear 5 x 5 tiles from the puzzle board. This tool won’t waste your move.

4. Deal with hard levels

Puzzles are easy, hard, and the hardest in the Extreme Makeover, and it is your job to differentiate between them so you can deal with them accordingly.
